You do not need to use all of iD’s features. We regard No U-Turn restrictions (as I described earlier) as completely unnecessary. It is only needed if the "from" and "to" ways are different. The "via" entry can also be ways between the "from" and "to" ways, which can be useful at crossroads. For example: relation/5969794

At the end of the day, OSM is a live map, not a sandbox to test edits: we have a server for editing tests: see osm.wiki/Sandbox_for_editing

Hello, why is it necessary to add a No U-Turn restriction when the "from" and "to" way is the same? (e.g. relation/12521304) I am confident that it is not needed at all.

Also, duplicate church nodes were removed: amenity=place_of_worship can go to building=* and that should be sufficient.

What's the source for all those "cities"? As far as I can remember, the whole place is mainly desert with only a few quarry-related settlements according to satellite imagery.

Sorry, I mean if the "from" and "to" way are the same.

Hello, I do not think it is necessary to have a No U-Turn restriction if the "from" and "to" are the same.

If this is because of a router, then in this case they should fix that, not us.

I sadly do not find your explanation acceptable. It should be for the navigator to fix, if it isn't bringing up the destination tag when you think it should do so. It is OSM practice not to tag just to please navigators. Sorry for the rushed message, I am getting concerned about your increasingly unusual use of highway links.

Hello, I am not happy at how you tag exits from roundabouts as a link, as you did at way/923715785. No other country does this.

I am getting very concerned that with the A1 tagging between Gefyra and Kleidi, you seem to be wildly experimenting with the map without considering the impact on the users. if in doubt, we should just take cue from how the British Isles does it (UK and IE).

Only the slip roads should be *_link for a main road like that. In my opinion, the A1 should be trunk because it has not been upgraded yet.

I do not know why the A1 between Chalastra and Gefyra should be a motorway_link, when it is clearly a major road to N. Macedonia? In fact, I would leave it as trunk until the motorway signs actually appear.

OSRM shouldn't be doing that: I have written to them at https://lists.openstreetmap.org/pipermail/osrm-talk/2021-April/001968.html.

I would like to draw your attention to https://forum.openstreetmap.org/viewtopic.php?id=72572, where we believe that adding "access=yes" to all trunk roads is redundant in the British Isles.

For controlled access trunk roads, use "motorroad=yes", or the combinations "bicycle=no", "foot=no"; "horse=no".

You've basically added addr:country=GR to everything over a great number of changesets, even when there are no other tags. What is going on?

Fixed: made it into a deep ford.

You need to be careful not to just merge ways: there are lots of ways with lighting data and those without, and most editors do not give warning about merging ways with lighting data and no lighting data.

I am very concerned about how you are tagging toll roads in Greece. A toll road does not simply end at the toll booth, but instead at the point where the first toll-free slip road merges. Also, you have not responded to any of my past changeset comments, as well as others: https://resultmaps.neis-one.org/osm-discussion-comments?uid=9221753

Dang it, that was meant to be Maxar Premium. I think RapID struggles when the browser is open for a long time.

We aim for a good level of detail in street lighting: for example, we count https://www.mapillary.com/map/im/oUn68QziQEfFwQxK-Etw-w as a gap where we use lit=no. Noticeable gaps such as https://www.mapillary.com/map/im/K-C8E-kA6cWAD_F_l1YQPQ can catch some drivers off-guard.

On further inspection, the mess-up with the junctions must be another example of Map-Finder's careless editing: changeset/82815831 – I have posted a changeset comment on the subject and the user has not answered it yet: https://resultmaps.neis-one.org/osm-discussion-comments?uid=9221753

I'm sorry for slipping up on the junction part.

87618035 almost 5 years ago

I am not happy about this changeset: you removed quite valid right-turn lanes and u-turn restrictions, and at least one crossroad no longer exists and is now just a "right-in right-out" junction.

82812357 almost 5 years ago

Please, do not delete turn restrictions: they exist not only to prevent vehicles from making dangerous or illegal turns (the central reservation is very thin), but also ensure that the road planners use the correct exit.
