Changeset When Comment

I feel that some changesets may need to be reverted to recover the lost relations and station layouts. Afterwards, you can redo any changes while respecting the public transport v2 relation. I am currently tired and I don't know how to do it without making a mess with the merge conflicts and such. I am cautious not to do something that might make the problem worse.

Hello, why do you remove stops from train relations and delete public transport stop relations (relation/14007291/history)? They are an important part of the public transport system.

The tag railway=rail are meant only for railways with active passenger or freight service. The correct tags should be railway=disused and disused:railway=narrow_gauge.

Hello, I believe you did a lot of street light mapping in Mont-de-Marsan over the years, and I wonder if you could review and revise the material values of the street light poles (material)=*, because it appears that the current values (e.g. "Ag", "At", "Béton", etc.) are deprecated according to https://osmose.openstreetmap.fr/en/map/#username=&zoom=13&lat=43.8975&lon=-0.475&item=3040. Valid alternative values include: "steel", "concrete" and "iron".

In this changeset, way/1062346082 is an example of a fantasy road that you added recently. You cannot just add roads out of thin air, expecting that Greek authorities will quickly build it. Even if Greece was the richest country in the world, we still have to map reality, not fantasy.

I forgot to say that provincial roads are generally highway=secondary, so therefore I am applying this rule to nearly all cases.

Hello, it's a rather old changeset, and I have already been tagging new solar plants with power=plant et al for quite a while now.

There is no A4 motorway in Greece at the moment. What is the source for these edits?

Why did you downgrade so many urban roads of Heraklion to tertiary or lower? A good number of them are important enough to be primary or secondary.

It would be appreciated if you could elaborate on what you are actually doing in changeset comments, rather than just saying "Update".

According to railway=tram_stop, there has to be a tram stop for each direction. They are not like railway stations.

Valid example of tram stop: node/7498860477

Correction: The source should be should be existing OSM data. This is why I think we need multiple profile support on JOSM.

The motorway A26 doesn't exist, what is the source for that?

Source typo alert: it's actually Maxar Premium Imagery.

With all due respect, we have to balance legislation with what is really on the ground (osm.wiki/Good_practice#Map_what.27s_on_the_ground). For example, if the law specifies that the A642 is the A621, but the signs on the ground still say A642, then it has to be assumed that the renumbering has not taken place as expected. The same is the case with Provincial roads: there are many missing sections and section with a very narrow window of passage. I know it is not an easy thing to do, and sadly there are some things that have no single solution. For the maritime boundaries, that is hanzlan’s job. I only expressed an opinion based on what information is widely available.

If you are referring to ΦΕΚ 253ΑΑΠ/2015, then that has to be taken with a grain of salt because Mapillary imagery suggests the A24 south of Papageorgiou to be an expressway rather than a motorway: https://www.mapillary.com/app/?pKey=826090858115075 and https://www.mapillary.com/app/?pKey=528993834779196

I concur with hanzlan. I haven't got around to mapping the current 6NM borders due to politically-influenced severe depression, which means I have to try and avoid political stuff.

Hi, could you please explain this change?

109855516 over 4 years ago

You have to be careful in preserving street lighting data (lit)=*. They exist for the safety of drivers, especially at night, and it is a valid tag.

Re: way/195530852, is_in=* is deprecated in Greece because it duplicates boundary relations. If there are any missing boundary relations, let us know at https://forum.openstreetmap.org/viewforum.php?id=27 and we will see what we can do.
