Was mir bei der Suche noch aufgefallen ist:

Der blaue Marker für das Suchergebnis überdeckt das Icon für die Unterkunfts-POIs, die sich dann nicht mehr anklicken lassen um die Details (Adresse etc.) des POIs anzuschauen.

Einen Erweiterungsvorschlag hätte ich noch: Permalinks für die Karte um direkt auf Ausschnitte verlinken zu können.

Bin mir nicht sicher, ob Leaflet das von Haus aus kann. Evtl. hilft dieses Plugin: https://github.com/mlevans/leaflet-hash

vier Interessenten für den ersten Stammtisch ist doch schon ein guter Anfang!
Beim 1. Zittauer Treffen waren wir auch "nur" zu viert - das zweite Mal dann schon sechs - das entwickelt sich :-)

Kleiner Tipp:
Wenn ihr im Wiki eine Seite für euer Treffen anlegt, bindet einfach das Templates "Lokale_Gruppe" [1] und "Stammtische" [2] mit ein, dann erscheint euer Stammtisch auch auf der Karte bei openstreetmap.de

Don't worry about Yahoo copyright. There is an agreement allowing us to use their aerial photos. See osm.wiki/Yahoo#Legalities for more info.
And I'm not sure, but I think there's a difference between the photos on maps.yahoo.com and the ones OSM uses. Maybe the latter ones are older or with less resolution...

Es gibt für die Garmin-Geräte verschiedene vorgefertigte Karten, da diese Geräte ein proprietäres Format erfordern. Genaues kann ich dir leider nicht sagen, da ich selbst kein solches Gerät besitze.

Great idea! But tagging with "addr:housenumber" is quite strange, isn't it? We should introduce (if there isn't any yet) a new tag for this special purpose... but no idea at the moment.

Some years ago I have been working at some small cemeteries (it was an alternative civilian service), so I should ask there if I can have some plans to use with OSM :-)

By the way: Jim Morrison's grave at "Cimetière du Père Lachaise" in Paris is already in OSM, but unfortunately not rendered! ;-) See here: osm.org/?mlat=48.859372&mlon=2.393826&zoom=19

Really nice project! I have written a web app (still under development: http://osm.erlkoenigkabale.eu/phpmygpx.php) to manage my GPX logs and show them on OSM maps using OpenLayers, PHP and MySQL and I'm thinking of integrating some photo features like you've already done. Maybe we can benefit from each other and share some code...

(Currently my maps dont't work properly because I use an old version of OpenLayers locally and I should instead link to the new 2.8 online lib. Fixed this in the online demo, a new release for downloads will follow.)

I'll watch the progress of your software! Always a pleasure to see people inspired by OSM.

Yabba, just have a look at the bottom of the left column. At the moment it says: "Planet file downloaded at 2009-04-28". In general it is updated weekly. Full update logs with description of improvements can be found at http://keepright.ipax.at/ home page.

Willkommen bei OSM, fraluma!

ich habe, als ich vor einem Jahr zu OSM stieß, auch mit Merkaartor angefangen, obwohl ich nach dem Studium diverser Wiki-Seiten eigentlich dachte, JOSM wäre das richtige für mich.
Aber irgendwie fand ich JOSM damals abschreckend und nicht intuitiv genug, mit Merkaartor (damals 0.10) dagegen bin ich gleich zurecht gekommen. Und ich konnte eine Menge über Tags, Keys und Values lernen, gerade durch die fehlenden Templates! Die Unterstützung für Relations braucht man am Anfang ohnehin nicht, die verwirren nur...
Inzwischen benutze ich seit einigen Monaten JOSM, weil ein paar Kleinigkeiten einfach schneller gehen und ich mit Relations experimentieren wollte.

Kurz und gut: Für den Einstieg kann ich Merkaartor wirklich jedem empfehlen, der ernsthaft mappen will, Will man irgendwann mehr machen und stößt an seine Grenzen, dann lohnt auch ein Blick auf JOSM.
