Changeset When Comment

Hello.
That’s a big changeset, here! ;-)
I recommend uploading after you have finished in one area. That will make it easier for everyone.

Hello,
I had to revert this. This shop was already on the map. Maybe your local copy of the database in OsmAnd~ isn’t up to date.

Hello,
We have reverted your changeset.
The name of the pharmacy was correct, no need to erase it to replace it with "pharmacie".
Have a nice day.

Hello,
Thanks for this. I warned the user who made the faultly edit (that person had changed several tram tracks and added nonsense to the database).

Hello,
Thanks for adding data to the map.
I am afraid the access tags are not set properly here.
Would you please be so kind as tell us what road sign you saw along the small alley of Avenue Orbanlaan.
C43 or F12 sign for the 20-kph rule? (osm.wiki/Road_signs_in_Belgium). I suspect it is a F12, which implies other rules.
Are there other local access restrictions?
Thanks in advance.

Update: there were only 75 new nodes, I managed to check everything and get rid of the last remaining duplicates. It was less work than I thought. It should be okay now.

81790826 over 5 years ago

Sorry to bother you again with this one. I found out some nodes that were created as duplicate of existing objects are still there. In particular nodes with traffic signals or road crossings. Usually they are not attached to any way—those have been properly deleted—and are flying alone about 60 cm from their "twin". Example here: node/7264603477
If you know about a good overpass query or any way to spot them easily, it will help. :-)

Hello,
Thanks for this.
Do you know who is the operator for this recycling box? Is this managed by Schaerbeek municipality, by a local ngo, or by an unnamed group of citizens?
This is to fix the operator tag because I think there is a duplicate here ("de Compost de Meux" is probably only the name of the box, not the name of the organization behind it).

Hello,
Thanks for this.
There was already a node with housenumber 119.
If you want to add a restaurant, please be aware of what is on the map already. Either add a node only with restaurant tags but no address, or take the existing node.
But do not create a second node repeating the same addr:* tags, this causes validation issues.
I solved this one.

Hello,
"DAB ATM BNP Paribas Fortis": is this the real name of this bank?
Not just "BNP Paribas Fortis" + atm=yes to mention there is an ATM outside the bank.
Any thoughts?

Bonjour,

Hello,
A question about this node: node/7638072666
Does it make sense to connect the road and rail networks? Of course, they are connected to make maintenance possible but tagging a highway=turning_circle across railway tracks with functional route relations and no railway=level_crossing node seems fairly unusual.
One should expect the service road to end a few meters before crossing the railway tracks, with the turning circle where the road becomes wider.
What do you think?

Hello,
Why bicycle=yes on stairs? Perhaps you meant there is a ramp to push bicycles. Is that so?

Hello,
Drawing residential gardens is a good idea, we are patiently doing this too.
If you are interested in doing that, please trace them properly, e.g. by snapping edges to buildings. Your drawings have created multiple errors in the database, mostly because they are grossly overlapping existing buildings. We are trying to revert this.

Bonjour,
Quelle signalisation ? Zone de rencontre (F12a) ?
Si c’est ça, alors nous pouvons le changer en highway=living_street.

86246204 over 5 years ago

Croix Rouge or Croix-Rouge.
UrbIS official list uses the hyphen.
What do the street signs say?

86798191 over 5 years ago

OK, I see what happened.
The problem is not you, it’s the iD editor. Even though those underground ways were properly labelled with level and layer tags, iD still believes there is a problem with crossing ways, and will automatically "fix" it by cutting small parts with tunnel=yes. I don’t know why it split a long way into 7 small parts.
Don’t worry, I fixed it. I’ve put tunnel=yes on everyone of them; it is not required but this will avoid any trouble in the future.

Hello,
I would advise against using Bing aerial imagery to map in Brussels. We have high-quality and recent UrbIS imagery here.
In this changeset you add a helipad on top of Berlaymont building—I want to inform this helipad was removed several years ago, though it probably still shows up on those old Bing pictures.

Hello,
Why did you split footways inside Georges Henri station into several small identical chunks? Example here: way/817064493
I will fix this but before I do I would like to understand what happened or what was intended.
Thanks.

Hello,
Is this supposed to be permanent?
