Hello,
Talking about spelling, is there a reason why you insist on writing names of objects in lower case?
If this path really has a name, it should be spelt "Buurtweg 25".

Hello,
If I understand correctly what you tried to do here is replace a former pizzeria with a bar.
I believe the contact details (email and phone) inherited from the former activity can be removed.
Also, does this bar have a name? You didn’t write any.

Hello,
Did you survey this place? I don’t see a playground here, only some bushes.
You have apparently used "AIV Flanders most recent aerial imagery"; I suggest using Brussels UrbIS imagery, it is much more accurate. It seems the playground is a few meters to the east.

Hello,
What is the source for your data in the list of shops here?
Did you visit this place?

Oh, that was fast! :-D

Hello,
Mapping as highway=construction has always been a controversial topic. Normally, it is aimed for "real" construction, i.e. new roads. Temporary road closures can be achieved with conditional access tags.
In the mean time, I removed "bicycle=use_sidepath" on the main road. Otherwise, navigation software would be barred from using it (and cannot use the cycle track either, while it is closed). I left a fixme tag to explain.
If you survey this street again and see the works are complete, please restore not only the cycle track but also "bicycle=use_sidepath" on the main road.
Thanks for helping.

Hello,
The new buildings in Tivoli do not match Urbis numerical imagery (eg. way/214625936 or way/679482704).
Incidently, someone seems to have been using copyrighted maps to add buildings or details (changeset/69316657)
Do you mind if I redraw all this?

Hello,
This is more complicated. iD is unfortunately quite unable to check this properly and will ignore all conflicts when one sets layer=0.
Don’t worry. I spent some time on this, and changed layer on road tunnels accordingly to make it work fine with layer=-1.

85036450 over 5 years ago

There might be conflicts with subway or railway tunnels at levels -1 and -2. I can change the subway levels if necessary, for instance if the river is located above that infrastructure.

Hello,
Why did you revert layer=-1 back to layer=0?
AFAIK, Zenne river flows (or flowed) under houses and streets.
If you set layer=0, OSM will assume there must be intersections with every object at level 0 (i.e. every building, every street, every sidewalk) and we get tons of validation errors because there aren’t any. This is why we have "layers" in OSM, this is to tell software that some objects fly above or below others without intersecting.

Hello,
Sorry about this but I had to revert this.
Those traffic signals were removed around summer 2018, shortly after mapillary pictures were taken.
Have a nice day.

Hello,

Something useful to know: there is a frequent confusion about the type of stones on roads or paths.
Here’s an example way/498823259 ; I surveyed it some time ago and I can guarantee this the typical range of pavés/kasseien we have in many places in Brussels.

In OSM, this surface=sett, not "cobblestone". (Cobblestone is for uncarved stones, but this is almost non-existing anywhere in present-day Belgium.)

Hello,
Thanks for editing the map.
When a shop is closed, it’s better to remove tags relating to their business activity. Please do NOT delete the point itself. This is useful, e.g. to analyze the history of a shop and see how it changed over time.
Thanks for this.

Yes, you do it right, now, very good!

I’m not a good specialist about tactile_paving. Personally, I only use "yes", "no", or "incorrect" (many cases in Brussels with tiles on one side but not on the other). But it’s a good idea to use "contrasted". I’ve always thought it would be useful to get in touch with people who actually need that information and make sure we are filling the map with useful data for them.

Good!

Tagging as a node AND a way is okay.
1) Easier to explain with a picture.

2) Yes.

Hello,
It’s nice that you are adding sidewalks, I do that myself too and it’s useful, especially to guide blind people with OSM data.
Two things here:
1) I don’t think it’s useful to make two separate ways for a crossing instead of a single one (e.g. ways 799418043 and 799418039) unless you have a real reason. Make it a long one whenever you can, it will make database imports much lighter.
2) crossing=marked should not apply on ways. It’s not your fault, it’s because you apparently use the simple online editor and it shows you a box named "Type". Better leave it blank. BTW, a nice thing to do for pedestrian crossings (as ways) is filling a surface tag, it’s easy to recognize with UrbIS imagery.

Hi,
Thanks for replying. Don’t worry, I’ll fix it because this one is a complicated one.
Lots of people rely on OSM data for navigation. You could even try yourself and right-click on the map to select directions from and to a point. The tags for every street tell the algorithm whether a vehicle is allowed to use it.
The F103 signs are still there, therefore it must be a pedestrian street. There are hundreds of such streets in Brussels and of course they can be used for deliveries (and sometimes residents if they have a private garage within the zone) but we don’t map this.
We don’t use "designated" in Belgium, you will see it in the simple online editor, but it’s more a UK-thing. Designated means "yes" for navigation, which would be wrong for routing.

Hello,
Welcome to OSM.
You added a road with access granted to all motor traffic. I know this road and I remember there are F103 signs (pedestrian zone) here → only accessible for pedestrians, possibly cyclists too (if the sign says so), and only permit-holders.
Has something changed recently? Did they really change the roadsigns?
