The location you added to the map is not the restaurant, this is the car park.

The restaurant was already on the map
node/1416470164

We fixed your edit and moved the relevant tags for wheelchair accessibility to the existing node.

Hello.

I am afraid to tell you that this edit is misguided. You are using outdated imagery to add a building… which we removed a few years ago after it was demolished. I had to revert your change.

There is little need to "fix" buildings in Belgium, especially from Bing imagery. We use government data with the correct outlines of buildings, so that we can trace them more accurately, and we monitor new/old buildings.

In the meantime, I asked a friend to fix it immediately, because I’m far from my computer tonight.
I see you are using a mobile app; those have limited features but AFAIK the OsmAnd app has an option to change a shop type and make it shop=vacant.

Hello.
This is not a correct way to map. It is more advisable to keep the history of objects and retag them instead of destroying.
i’ll redo your edit.

OK, thanks.

OK, we fixed the edits, it should match mutch better now.
Thanks for having provided the new house numbers, by the way.

Please do not trace buildings from aerial imagery, you are doing it wrong!

Use Digitaal Vlaanderen GRB exclusively for buildings. Only that map will show you the correct outline of buildidngs.

Hello.
Even if Organic Maps is currently unable to identify the correct address, I want to inform you that the address for this shop was already on the map—I even mapped the door very accurately and linked it to the shop a few months ago—and that is the reason why we prefer to *not* duplicate address information here in Belgium.
Don’t worry, we fixed your edit and kept the useful information (URL and opening hours).

Please use "fr - nl" order inside Brussels for multilingual names. Names written as "nl - fr" do not validate.

OK, thanks for the reply and the fix.
Happy mapping.

Hello.

Can you please explain the "tagging corrections" you are applying here? A more descriptive title would help.

For instance, it looks like you are adding "addr:country=BE" and "addr:state=VLG" to several buildings at once, like this one.
way/326426300/history
It looks like this is not a standard practice to map addresses in Belgium. This is why we are asking if you would be so kind to explain why you are adding such tags.

Thanks in advance.

Hello,
Can I please ask a question about this track and the associated tram switches?
way/1378594259
Did you survey it recently?
It looks like the temporary track that was used to stop trams here during the works in Heembeek. My information is that it has been removed since then. But if you tell me that you surveyed it recently, we’ll keep it.

I fixed them all this morning.

No, it was just to inform you that we already use a standard, nothing personal.
Fortunately, contrary to railway switches, the reference nbr of tram switches is quite easy to find when you are walking on the street. ;-)

Hello,

Thanks for the survey.

However, I rememember surveying this night shop myself some time ago, and "night shop" was just a display and not the name.

As you could see, this was correctly tagged like this: description=Night Shop + noname=yes

node/4026937917/history

I see that now we have something strange:
description=Night Shop
name=Night shop

So, this is now their official name, right?

165114985 9 months ago

There is already an established practice for tram switches on STIB/MIVBs tram network.
The ref code is two parts, as such: X.XXX
Perhaps you might want to concentrate on railway switches and not bother with the tram network.
I will fix your edits.

The place is already linked to an address point, please do not add duplicate address information to the restaurant itself.

All the addresses in Brussels are already on the map. The simple online editor shows text boxes for addresses but it is recommended to ignore them entirely, to avoid corrupting the database.

I will fix your edit.

165099395 9 months ago

Hello,
Adding details like opening hours, email or website is fine.
But please do not copy addresses on shops themselves. All the adresses in Brussels are already mapped and should not be duplicated. You can safely ignore the text fields in the simple online editor, they are not useful here.

165085619 9 months ago

If you did not type any address yourself, then it must be one more issue with OM, there have been complaints already about this software automatically adding unwanted tags. I’ll try to look into it.

165085619 9 months ago

Thanks for the name update.

However, please do not type addresses directly on places. Addresses are mapped separately in Belgium (at least in Brussels).

I’ll fix your latest edits.

Thanks.
