5 days ago | The comments about "No street sign for this road" apply to the little east-west section between Highlands Ridge Heights and Chapel Hills Drive. Sorry for the confusion.
14 days ago | Thanks! Yikes! Not sure how "reference" got in there because I've been extending "ref" lately for store numbers with "ref:store_number" (taginfo shows 224 uses worldwide, and it's growing). ref by itself is mysterious, so why not name it better?
15 days ago | Just added a description about the bus loop on the service road ( way/580976575 )
16 days ago | Hi again, you were absolutely right! I just called Mountain View High School and they said this was a multi-purpose area. Mainly it's the bus loop (which we might need to tag), but the marching band does practice there. Great info!
30 days ago | Got to run, but back on this later. It's interesting!
30 days ago | OK, in your TX example, Bing Maps aerial imagery shows markings that look like a duplicate of a football field, with circles for band movement. I see some similar markings on the asphalt at Highlands Ranch.
30 days ago | Yep, they're both asphalt with parking lot lines (and a few cars), but they probably rope or cone it off before band practice. What piqued my interest was the green rendering, so I was expecting to see grass/dirt. I think a phone call to the high school would answer the question. :)
30 days ago | Online references are easier to check than having to go to the library.
| 162268157 | 30 days ago | Do you also have a reference that this is used as the marching band practice area?
|
30 days ago | Hello, I'm in metro Denver and saw this interesting area. All the aerial imagery I've seen so far shows this as asphalt (you can see the cracks). That would not prevent it from being used. Do you know if the asphalt has been removed?
about 1 month ago | To clarify, read the note tag on the station, not a separate OSM note.
about 1 month ago | Oops, that was the residential area boundary
about 2 months ago | I just saw this restaurant while driving by tonight near closing, but took a photo to map it because it's new in like the last month. You already mapped it and did it nicely with all the right tags and syntax. Yay! Gonna check it out, cuz Thai food is great & we don't have a good place in this area.
about 2 months ago | That category is probably going to go away, no matter how many times people try to add an image to it, because we're fighting the US copyright laws and their enforcers.
2 months ago | Oops, I meant updated the name to Sunrise Road, not what it was before (Sunset Drive).
2 months ago | Typo in changeset comments: correct close date was 2023-10-23 (not 2022-10-22).
3 months ago | Accidentally allowed iD to auto-complete the changeset comments, which should have been just, "Added 1 disabled stall". Info was from street-level photos, not aerial imagery.
3 months ago | Thank you! I don't know how that "ad1dr:street" got in there. It's never happened before. :)
4 months ago | 27.7 ft off
4 months ago | At least for the Supercharger in Post, TX, ZeLonewolf's changeset only removed a tag. Coordinates weren't touched, but I just restored them to their correct original values before they were overwritten by the 2025-06-22 bulk import from SCinfo (which had coords that were 27.7 off, not huge, but visible).
