7 months ago | Hello, according to the website of this company (https://www.yorkspacesystems.com/contact) this business is at this address. Can you please expand on why it was "incorrectly placed" and why you preferred to delete instead of moving it? Tell me if I should restore this node.
almost 2 years ago | Hello, I put the tag at the intersection since it is painted on the road that all roads have to give way. That's a way to not put one on each way, especially since there is no official positon. Similar to highway=stop#All-way_stop, but not documented.
over 2 years ago | Hello, yes I know this feature but did not check since I was not expecting any project to use such non canonical key-value without also handling the canonical form. Also, all the projects here are refering to historic=*, not this specific value (which makes me realize that TagInfo is misleading by hidding a given key-value as soon as a key with no value is defined in the JSON...). Obviously I was wrong, thanks for catching.
over 2 years ago | I have no idea. The website now shows an address in Washington while their LinkedIn points to Alexandria. I think you can move this office to the Washington address.
over 2 years ago | Hello, I'm sure this is an error, not sure how it happened. Can you please fix this?
almost 3 years ago | Hello Zcor, you deleted the Space Research and Communication Center. Can you please provide a rationale for that feature which as far as I know is there?

about 4 years ago | Bonjour Quiligus et bienvenue ! 1.
over 4 years ago | Hi Super-Map, let put aside off-topic comments on Covid, crisis, democracy... to focus on mapping. I'm sincerily sorry to hear that you are suffering from the situation (and please imagine that I might also suffer...) but please here focus on what is related to mapping. 1. Once again OSM is a collaborative project. You can disagree with my changeset and say so (politely) here or in a mailing list, I've no problem to argue and maybe change my way of mapping (and please be ready also to challenge yours). But please remember that we all disserve respect in our discussions and that writing in capital cases, forgetting basic "Hi, hello...", always consider I'm your ennemy and blame me for the current crisis and all its side effects will not bring any credibility to your point of view here. See Code of conduct on wiki. 2. Your translation of "Île-de-France" as being "residential area" is very original, especially when we know that it is a region covered mainly (around 75% according to Wikipedia) by fields and woods. You might think that Ile-de-France = Paris viewed from where you live in but, again, no. 3. I maintain my point of view and my changeset. A6 highway is not a residential area... it is not a field area... it is not an industrial area... In fact no landuse has been defined yet for such wide areas. Please have a look at the wiki which explains that it is "An area of land dedicated to, or having predominantly residential buildings such as houses or apartment buildings" and that "The extent of the area should mark the boundary of known residential use, not the extent of the whole town or village.". I'm pretty sure we can both agree that motorway trunks are not a "small road". And I'm sure I can find many other rationales to this change. So, if you think I'm the Evil you are describing, feel free to contact mailing list or DWG for arbitration.
over 4 years ago | Hi Super-map, I must admit I don't fully understand your message... OSM is a collaborative project where everyone is free to add its details (as soon as it is relevent and true of course) and where everyone disserves to be treated kindly. I don't understand why you shoot at me. You even forget to tell me what you think is wrong in my changeset... I'm not afraid at all by you but I can imagine how such a poor comment can afraid new comers. Glad to hear you are not the manager, I'm not either. Now regarding my contribution there was an overlapping of different landuses and of motorways. As a first step it is valuable data (= better than no landuse) but it lacks some accuracy. I refined the residential landuse area in order to fix some of those approximations (less overlapping, exclusion of a part of the motorway). I don't think I broke any relation/multipolygon but I may be wrong. Can you please explain what I've done wrong ? Thank you Scale and scope for your comment.
over 4 years ago | Thanks ! Hopefully we have here a procedure to follow which imply to first overpass the landing point before making an attempt in order to check if parking pad is free and to scare wild life and autochtones (I had some issues in the past with my breaking rockets...). Or maybe it was while surveying data for https://industry.openmaps.space , I don't recall...

over 4 years ago | Hi and welcome to OpenStreetMap project! You created a node in this first changeset but this node has been defined as a spaceport (aeroway=spaceport) i.e. an installation where rockets / launch vehicles are sent to space. I'm quite confident that there is no spaceport in a backyard in a middle of an urban area with a name sounding like one major actor of this business. Right? Given the fact that it is a first changeset with a 'You figure it out...' comment, all in all this ringed a bell that it is either a joke or a failed test. Unfortunately OSM is a real database with people using it to build services, there is no place for jokes in the data (even if it is fun to contribute). If your purpose is to test OSM, then feel free to read resources for beginners (osm.wiki/Beginners%27_guide). If it was a joke, then please refrain. I deleted this 'Spaceport' for those reason.
