Same Barnard as the college. https://barnard.edu/news/founders-day-barnards-125th-anniversary-party

You know more than I. I'd never heard of either street naming. I just tried Google Maps - no clue. 311 app - no clue. Acastus Photon app recognized it as West 103rd Street. I'd guess NYC doesn't use it. Would the US Post Office use it? I don't know.

The short answer is I don't know.
I assumed both names are honorary.

Here's the long answer.
This was a discussion between @MxxCon and myself after I put a second alt_name for the piece of W103 that's closest to Broadway. @mmxCon said they'd conflict. I set the Norman Rockwell name as honorary_name as @MxxCon said it was possible and at least wouldn't conflict. Unfortunately, the honorary_name is not searchable whereas alt_name is. I went to the other end of the block to verify the Odessa Stewart Street sign and as I do lately, I try to attach a Mapillary image to anything I tag so there is justification.

I see that g stands for 'Highlight unsaved edits'. Going to go through the iD help slowly.

Does g stand for something? or is there an function name I can search on as g is not intuitive.

Wow. So glad you restored it. Totally unintentional. Sorry. Was only intending to look at it because of something I saw in the Random channel on US slack. Is there a way with iD to see what one's changes? So far I've only been able to undo and put stuff back.

Thanks for fixing it.

I know what happened. I hit Ctrl-V (paste) to copy the item and it just added what I had in the clipboard to the tag. I have to click off the item I want to copy before copying it with Ctrl-C.

I made it an honorary_name. Search doesn't work. I'll just leave it like that. I'll still go out and look at Amsterdam and 103. I'm very curious.

Can I semicolon separate the honorary names as I believe both alt names are honorary? I'll make alt_name:en honorary first to see if I can search on it.

I'm open for suggestions. I'll remove the new tag as either way there is an issue. I'll try to visit the Amsterdam and 103 intersection tonight.

I left Odessa because that may be what the street sign on Amsterdam says. The street sign on Broadway doesn't say Odessa anything and I only photographed that sign. I'll have to look at 103rd and Amsterdam. I left it with both names.

Will look tonight. I thought I used black.

I looked at it closely from the river on Saturday. The waste treatment plant 1st floor is above the river. It may be on the same level as the ground floor entrance to the elevator. The elevator does not provide entrance to two levels of Waste treatment plant and there are definitely two levels. The roof is at level 4 if the river is at 1, waste treatment plant at 2, 3. I've trying to find schematics for the Wastwater treatment plant which by the way is no longer called a waste treatment plant but a wastewater resource recovery facility (WRRF). Used to be called a water pollution control plant (WPCP).

Will change tonight.

I'm tempted to remove them completely as they are only installed if Parks feels like it. There are also 2 bike racks identified nearby which I also may remove if a pass through there doesn't find them. I'll be there next this coming Saturday. I modified one of the bike racks only to note that it wasn't covered.

I don't want to make any further mods until I get feedback on the open street relation idea because any conditional tags would apply to all the Berry street segments from N12th to Bway.

151206924 over 1 year ago

There's also the issue of how much of Berry is open. I felt the presentation could answer that better than I could at a single sitting. There's potentially so much to map here.

It was really confusing and I didn't want to make a blanket statement that might be wrong.

its called an open street, but because there are hours, there are times the barricades are taken down and I couldn't find the hours. I'll likely bring it up at an Open Streets call I'm present at on alternating Wednesdays. Next one is tomorrow.
