ok. I was tempted to just remove it.

That makes no sense. I wasn't there 4 days ago and wouldn't have written that. There's nothing at that staircase. I created the staircase from a path perhaps, but I didn't put in the fixme. I see the bathroom. There is an admin building just east of the bathrooms. I'm going to delete the fixme.

OSM had a key for dark_stores so I used it. Yes. there weren't many marked as such on OSM, but I'm finding that with a lot of things.

changed it to white as its the closest to off white. Considered gray but its closer to white. Probably intended to be white.

Removed it.

Definitely. not NextDoor. I started using EveryDoor, but even that isn't fast enough. Took a lot of photos on Berry open street yesterday, briefly checking with EveryDoor and it looked like all the open street things had not been mapped.

Getir definitely pulled out of that building. I did not change anything else related to Getir.

Yes. He mentioned the bike batteries and I believe there was a photo in the West Side Rag of a wire rack set up as a charging system.

So its no longer a dark store unless another one moves in. Terence also told me, that Getir had been gotten penalties or something from FDNY for lack of a sprinkler system.

150943952 over 1 year ago

It is strange. I never much thought about it as I'm rarely on that stretch of Broadway, but Terence came over to me yesterday while I was planting flowers in tree beds on 102nd between WEA and Broadway to tell me about it and how he had picked up all the trash they and sanitation left.

150943952 over 1 year ago

I was told it was closed and an article in the NYT confirmed that Getir had closed all its US stores as of May 1.
Also the guy that told me it was empty, threw out all the trash they left behind in front of the store.

good catch. I thought the mark was referring to the street. Its most definitely concrete. Will fix.

I found it. I must have been looking at the roadway. I added a description. Its like the Sidney Bridge which according to Google is iconic, but then there were things also called arch bridges that had the arches beneath the bridge.

150274776 over 1 year ago

I thought I marked it as such but cannot find it. I really thought I matched up some photo other than surface=concrete. Which tag? Now that I see the differences it may be neither. Its a big arch or two with cables holding up the roadway.

150274776 over 1 year ago

I have to look up truss and arch. I was just matching the photos StreetComplete offered me as I walked over the bridge and the one I chose matched. No time now to deal with this. Will look in a few days as I have to do so on mobile phone. Limited access to computer.

I fixed addr:street (basing the value on the building to the right of it) and removed the link. Yes. its a weird website. It promises to define a community garden but doesn't.

I heard at a community meeting that these shops bring fast cars and a nasty element to the area. Couple this with federal regs that require them to be a cash business. The result is that they are a prime target for burglaries with guns. The police presence is not surprising. There was a big discussion on the proper tagging of these shops on the US Slack group.

Done.

149841221 over 1 year ago

Agreed. Should the tag be removed or just replaced with something like koi:wikidata?

I'll remove support=ground and replace it with support=pole.
I interpreted the fixture as the pole but I suppose its not.
