Sports pitch, not track.

Point added to existing sports track not to a path.

As I keep a file folder of images. Its very likely an overlook on a path where one can see the Portland Japanese Garden below you. I have an image taken on 2024-0724 at 12:44 of exactly this viewpoint. Its not a tourist attraction but its probably worth noting.

Not accidental. I was visiting Portland. It might have been an overlook. I can't remember.

Yes I probably am confusing the two. So the Wastewater Treatment Plant can have 3 building layers and one actual layer and the park would occupy layer 2 and it will have 2 building layers? The Cultural Center has the 2 building layers.

Will find out tomorrow. Sounds like an improvement . I don't care where the label is. Only that it be something other than Marine Park

i googled White Island on wikipedia and got the Mau Mau link. I'd heard it called Mau Mau island before but White Island sounded more official so I went with that.

So bottom line I agree with the map.

I did not know there was such a thing as an alliance. I did not know of the map. I made the change because when I opened up Organic Map it showed Marine Park where I expected to see White Island or Mau Mau Island. I was there once with an organization called HarborLab.

Ok. I'll change both to landuse=shrubs.

Same answer.

I think its just a garden. Personally, I'd just call it a planting, but not up to me. It really fits that definition. Bunch of shrubs. No flowers. Certainly not a bioswale.

Actually, its fine the way it is. I thought I had said no no somewhere but I didn't.

There is no tactile paving there and the street is needs repaving. Once tactile paving goes in DOT doesn't like to do change to raised crosswalks. The fact that this cross street has no tactile paving and needs repaving means that a raised crosswalk is possible. I like to use the term continuous sidewalk. I heard that term used somewhere else and its sounds positive whereas raised crosswalks implies a mod.

Its definitely an interesting view coming out of the tunnel. I didn't know it had a name.

Its complicated. You can still use the crosswalk to cross the street, yet fencing blocks the long way along playground and the shorter way between playground and dog run. I will mark both of them as under construction too. I've got emails going back and forth with parks claiming the subcontractor is out of scope in blocking them. I'm considering suing them.

I used landuse=construction. Also changed the description to say that it was a dog park before construction and will continue to be one after.

Great point. I removed the inline_skate tag because while its likely I assumed someone skates would just walk it there. Hadn't considered slope that goes from the tunnel to the hairpin turn. I walk my bike going down that. I can't imagine it on skates.

I looked. There is no description.
The wikidata entry Q23239 points to Amtrak. Its a bridge over Amtrak. I'm sure they built the bridge but AFAIK, it was repaired in the last 5 years by DPR. (Parks)

Gotcha!

Thanks. Never thought to look here, but I will.

Interesting. I'll have to try the memorial_name tag and find out if its searchable.
