Praise for the OSM Help Website

Thumbs up from me too. I am good at asking dumb questions and I really appreciate the answers. Thanks for taking the time to write your post.

Nice work, I like it.

HELLO OSM WORLD

Have fun. I took the opportunity to look at a pretty little village near you, Mihajas-Cirmë and added a few buildings and roads.

(Not) Addicted Already. Honest!

Reminds me of this quote from Mark Twain. “Giving up smoking is the easiest thing in the world. I know because I’ve done it thousands of times.”

I agree. I’ve been using the IOS version and think it’s a great product. The search and routing functions are excellent.

Good comment. I use google translate to read the diary entries in english. I hope you can find a easy to use translator. Happy mapping and thanks for your contributions.

"Welcome-to-new-mappers" program in the Netherlands comes to an end.

I’m about to embark on a Welcoming Program in Massachusetts using http://resultmaps.neis-one.org/newestosm by Pascal Neis. Thanks for all your comments.

The invalid areas of the map

This blog entry is a keeper. It will take me a while to digest, thanks for the cogent presentation.

National Park Rendering Issue

A border off shore is hard to verify. I’ve been updating Acadia NP where the border is the seashore. I’m using the national park #parktiles imagery. Their image is closer to the Bing imagery and better than the saw tooth “coastline” way. I’ve been using JOSM to move the coastline onto the park boundary way. I’m thinking the best approach would be to accurately trace the Bing coast and make it part of the National Park relation. Thanks for posting.

Open Source Routing Engine GraphHopper 0.7 released

Nice job. Thanks.

Mapping my hometown Gudivada

Interesting diary entry. I hope you’ll get some help to complete your project. I bet a few diary readers will take a closer look at your city.

Nice work, I hope you get to make an extended visit someday.

MAPS.ME is now an editor

Interesting. I started using Go Map!! about a month ago because JOSM was largely unavailable to me while travelling. I’ve downloaded maps.me and will give it a try.

Boston, MA, US Address import: waiting on attribution, visualizing import

Nice work. Thanks.

What I like about OpenStreetMap

Great diary entry. I’m sure I’m not the only one who feels the same as you about OSM. I started when I found that our local conservation trails were only available on paper maps.

Adding addr:housenumbers to Boston, MA, USA. All of it. (RFC stage)

Nice project. I live in Bedford MA and am available to check out details on the ground as you get into the nitty gritty. Thanks for posting & keep posting, I think your project is very inspiring and I hope others get the urge to do something like it.

Mapping Jamaica Plain, MA

Very nice. Have you seen the MassGiS L3 parcel in JOSM? US ImageryInfo{name=’MassGIS L3 Parcels’, countryCode=’US’, url=’http://tile.osm.osuosl.org/tiles/massgis_parcels/{zoom}/{x}/{y}.png’, imageryType=TMS} tms:http://tile.osm.osuosl.org/tiles/massgis_parcels/{zoom}/{x}/{y}.png

Go Map!! 1.1 available

Bryce, You are brilliant. What a great app. I decided to give version 1.4 a try the other day and was amazed. My normal method was to use Galileo to save tracks and waypoints, then process the data in JOSM.

Is there any user group?

I would like to save gps tracks and don’t see how to do this from the GPX “details” window.

It would be nice if I could “square” a building.

I think posting a diary entry about version 1.4 would spread the word, a lot more people have iphones with data plans these days.

The “info” help window refers to a “configuration window Blue Triangle”… I don’t see that but am clear about how to use the Tags/Add Note/Paste bar.

Thanks again, it’s terrific.
