| Updating your changeset source comment easily using imagery layers in JOSM | PlaneMad, I too never noticed that feature. I’m always amazed at the depth of JOSM. Thanks for posting, I’m a big fan of your posts. |

| New Users | That’s great. I’d like to do something similar. I registered in 2011 but never mapped a single node and forgot about OSM. I rediscovered it in 2014 when I started mapping local trails and have become quite active. I would have welcomed a communication from a local mapper. |

| How to increase the number of regular HOT mappers in 2016? | Under existing communities to target I would add “social responsibility committees” of religious organizations. |
| Mapping Bramhapuri | Nice work. I took a look at your city and added a few roads and buildings. I would love to see some of the buildings from the ground. |

| deleted by author | This is GREAT; just what I’ve been looking for. I like to jump around the globe, adding roads and residential areas. I’ve recently been mapping in Tibet and feel really lost culturally. Your map is giving me some hits and insight into a very remote area. Thanks for posting. |

| Profile | Here’s a link to some has detailed the answer to your question. https://gofloss.wordpress.com/2014/10/04/my-business-on-osm-in-five-minutes/ Good luck. |

| Итоги картовстречи в Питере | I enjoyed reading your diary entry. It’s interesting to see what others are doing in far off places. Thanks for posting. |
| Why I use OSM | Nice work. It’s been a while since I looked at foot routing. I was really impressed with the GrapHopper route to my local wildlife refuge. Thanks for posting. |

| Cleaning up NHD in North Carolina | Very interesting. Thanks for posting this, I’ve learned a lot and hope to put it to good use as I work with NHD ways in Massachusetts. |

| A Mapper in the Spotlight: Dave Swarthout (USA/Thailand) | I really liked the depth of your answers. I agree with you regarding the Iphone Apps. Recently I started using the IOS version of OSMAND and am really looking forward to the day it has the editing capability of the Android version. |

| Hadjer Lamis, Chad - Tracing guide | Great write up, wish there were more of these. Is there a related missingmaps or HOT task? |

| The Renaissance of the fixme-tag ... via Osmand and overpass-turbo.eu |
I’ve been waiting for the ios version to mature and just started using the new 1.1.2 I’m finding a steep learning curve. I was puzzeled by the mapper assistant found the sub-menu “Overview-Details-OSM mapper assistant” . Thankfully, I found your diary by searching google OSMAND “OSM mapper assistant” and now understand the usefullness of this setting. I hope the OSM Editing plug-in arrives soon. Thanks for posting. |

| Work Grid for Columbus Area | Nice idea. I often wondered about how to break a task into smaller sections. Please post again when you complete the 900, or sooner, if you have another good idea. I learn a lot by reading the diaries |
| A Mapper in the Spotlight: Clifford Snow | You picked a great mentor to start your “outside Belgium” interviews. I met Clifford at the 2015 SOTM in NYC. You’ll have a wonderful conversation if you seek him out in a crowd. |
| Missing Roads - The Missing Manual | The tool is working well for me. It was a while before I realized I should also turn on the “New and Missaligned TIGER Roads 2015” imagery in order to add the road names. This could be stressed more in the instructions for people working the USA. |
| Starting with OSM Mapping: Mapping my hometown, Jorhat | Excellent work. You’ve contributed a lot of valuable data. I hope you feel the sense of accomplishment. |
| Atividade 3 Geografia | The best name to enter into OSM is the name on the street sign. “Ground Truth” is always correct in OSM. There are tags you can use for “alternate” names. See osm.wiki/Names Have fun mapping. |
| Mixing Up the default OSM Rendering | I’m wondering what kind of “tagging problems” you found; I could help you find and fix them. |
| How to find Missing Roads in OSM with GPS data | Worked for me after I found “MissingRoads Ctrl F3” in the “Windows” menu. The road was a driveway to the back of a warehouse. Great idea, I’ll be checking my turf. |
| Ministerio de Desarrollo Social (Departamento de Geografìa)- Uruguay | Very nice, I wish you the best and look forward to Uruguay being one of the best mapped countries. Please keep us up to date by posting to the user diary. |
