| visualizando el mundo | It’s a great tool. Glad you are investigating. You might try to make an edit by adding a shop that’s missing from the map. It’s easy with the ID built in editor. |

| Mapeando com o osmtracker | I’m always looking for a better tracker. Unfortunately I have an Iphone. Nice to see people developing apps to help gather OSM data. Nice work. |
|
| From Windhoek to Luanda | Wow, you’ve done a lot of work in a few months. I took a look at your activity at Thanks for contributing so much. |
|
| Done With Chiapas Corner!!! | Nice work. I got interested in your project and added some detail to the hamlet of Puerto del Varal osm.org/#map=16/17.7074/-99.9487 One day, someone in that place will see his home on a map and add some more detail. It’s fun to look in depth at places all over the world. Thanks for motivating me to take a look around Guerrero. |

| Houses | I took a look at Corinth and see why you wrote your diary entry. In Massachusetts we imported from the state GIS all of the building outlines. I added three houses to your map, there must be thousands more to draw. You might take a look at JOSM and the building plug-in. It’s a big time saver. Good luck with your project. |

| How many HOT contributors never complete their first task? | I’ll bet you have a lot of new contributors who clicked on “done” because they were done, not because the task was done. I was one of them. Now I rarely mark a task is done because it would take too much time to scroll through the entire area at a high zoom level. |

| Walking along Tavelsjöleden | Thanks for mapping and posting. I enjoyed taking an armchair look at the site. |
|
| Mapping Party in Butuan, Agusan del Norte | Very interesting. You just motivated me to ask a friend in Concord Massachusetts if he would like to add data to his home town in the Philippines. Thanks for posting |
|
| Maimon | I looked at your town and mapped the river to the bing image. Looks like a nice place to live. Have fun mapping. |

| Improving the OSM map - why don't we? [9] | I’ve enjoyed reading your diary entries. Thanks for pointing to Jochen’s blog. He’s gave a very clever guy and gave a well received talk at the SOTM US 2015 which you can watch at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_2L5wzv8DHw |

| Getting To Know Openstreetmap | Thanks for mapping. I’m glad you like it, and you are correct, it does help. Thousands of roads were added to OSM in Nepal after the earthquake in just a few weeks. |
|
| This is good ! | It’s great that you found OSM. I agree, it’s awesome, and your mapping is a great service to your community. |
|
| Global Validation Procedure | Nice work. I like your procedure. It caused me to checkout “Presets–>Search for objects by preset” . This JOSM search will be very useful to me and your blog caused me to try it for the first time. Thanks for writing this diary entry. |

| Designing a compact and legible city map | Nice work. Looks good to me. |

| Belgian Mapper of the Month: Escada | Wow! Thanks for posting, and especially for including links to resources. I might be able to get my dog owner friends interested in mapping by showing them your doggy map. For myself, I’m going to figure out how to read http://blog.openstreetmap.de/ in english. |

| Massachusetts Lake/Pond Cleanup | I’m glad you finished this task before I became active. Thanks. |
|
| Where do you swim in OSM? | The JOSM validator doesn’t like a polygon with only the tag sport=swimming. It returns the warning “sport without physical feature” |

| Documenting Process for Creating GPS Traces | Very nice write-up. Thanks for the information. I have an Iphone 4 and use the Galileo app which allows great off-line use of OSM vector files which you download state by state. I set the accuracy threshold to 32.8’ nd the distance threshold to 0.0’. I too have switched to an external data logger, the Garmin Glo (Built-in antenna · Bluetooth · 0.7″ x 3″ x 1.6″) which I wear in the crown pocket of my Tilly hat. I like the rechargeable battery. |
|
| How can I get accurate locations in a forest ? | Dieterdreist’s wear is a good idea. I’ve been trying to carry my iphone running the Galileo APP on my hat without much success. The Glo is much lighter and I could easily velcro it to my hat. The Glo update rate is 10 Hz and it’s not possible to set the recording rate to 1 second. |
