Only for specific wars, or can extend to war participation broadly?

The article seems to describe `war memorial` as for commemoration of specific events of conflict. I am wondering if the tag also applies to monuments dedicated to multiple conflicts or to veterans of war in general.

For example, in Regina, Saskatchewan's Victoria Park, there are two monuments that potential qualify as `memorial=war memorial` if the more general definition is taken:

  • The first would be the central monument generally dedicated to soldiers coming from Regina in various historic wars. I believe it was originally intended for WW1 fighters, but additional plaques for more conflicts have been added in the proceeding decades. To me, this should definitely qualify for `war memorial` even if it is for multiple conflicts (maybe via `memorial:conflict=*` and using semicolon separators).
  • The second is a monument to Indigenous veterans in Canada. This was a statue that replaced a statue of Sir John A Macdonald recently. The statue does not name specific conflicts, but is commemorated to Indigenous veterans specifically and mentions that there are conflicts in which they fought and passed. This to me feels like it fits the "vibe" of a war memorial, and I don't think anyone would look at you weirdly for calling it a war memorial, but it is not about specific conflicts.
