Not just rice
@Mahajana: rice_noodle=banh_canh seems potentially misleading. Any Vietnamese restaurant that serves bánh canh will likely offer a choice of rice- or tapioca-based bánh canh noodles. (Though Vietnamese people don't consider it to be a kind of noodle, but rather a kind of cake, like bánh phở.) Anyways, any restaurant named after one of these Vietnamese dishes is referring to the soup, regardless of what kind of noodles go into it. You can eat phở soup that contains bánh phở or hủ tíu or mì noodles or all of them simultaneously. – Minh Nguyễn 💬 17:49, 29 May 2025 (UTC)
- @Minh Nguyen: Feel free to edit it if you find something is wrong. My initial idea was to include all dishes that use rice noodles as the main ingredient, even if their other variations may not contain rice noodles, such as laksa. In such cases, other variations (such as noodles) can also be listed separately under
cuisine=*. Additionally, if multiple dishes are available, you can use semicolons to add them. However, due to my unfamiliarity with local culture, this content may cause some confusion for other users, and I apologize for that. --Mahajana (talk) 01:48, 30 May 2025 (UTC)
