Paddle tennis, also known as POP tennis, is a racquet sport adapted from tennis and played for over a century.

Courts come in different sizes, all smaller than a standard tennis court: 50' x 20' (approx. 15.2m x 6.1m) for a classic court, 60' x 21' (18.3m x 6.4m) for a modern singles court or 60' x 27' (18.3m x 8.2m) for a modern doubles court. The net is also smaller than in tennis.

The sport is most popular in the United States. It is not to be confused with sport=padel which is played on a court that is enclosed by glass walls and fences which can be used during play. Outside the US, paddle tennis is rare, and many padel courts are likely to be mistagged as paddle tennis courts due to the similarity in names.
