BMX or Bicycle motocross is a cycle sport performed on BMX bikes. It can be performed as racing on short, undulating tracks (cycling=pump_track), or as freestyle BMX, performing stunts on special courses featuring ramps and obstacles. BMX began when young cyclists appropriated motocross tracks for fun, racing and stunts, eventually evolving specialized BMX bikes and competitions.

Use sport=bmx to tag sport facilities related with BMX cycling. Those include specialized tracks (leisure=track) and parks (leisure=pitch or leisure=bike_park) which are often shared with skateboard and kick_scooter riders.
