Runway end identifier lights are used to highlight the end of the usable runway for takeoff and landing during periods of darkness or restricted visibility conditions. The system consists of a pair of synchronized flashing white lights located laterally on each side of the runway end. The lights may be either omnidirectional or unidirectional facing the approach area.

Not to be confused with runway end lights navigationaid=rel, a horizontal strip of red lights at the end of the runway.

How to map

Set a node node where the light is and add aeroway=navigationaid + navigationaid=reil
