door=no is used on connections between a building and the outside or between two different rooms an open connection — a lack of door in other words.

Usage

If the entrance connects the outside with the inside, tag it as a entrance=* like any other entrance and add door=no.

If the entrance is inside a building, map it like indoor=door, although the contradicting nature does mean the logical way to tag this is as door=no without indoor=door. [ dubious ] door=no is only necessary on walls i.e. on indoor=wall or indoor=room perimeters but not at the perimeters of indoor=corridor and indoor=area.
