The San José Department of Transportation maintains a traffic signal layer. This dataset is in the public domain as a work of a California local government agency. We imported this data into OpenHistoricalMap on August 7, 2025. The original layer is on the city ArcGIS under the "DOT" folder, however for this import we used the "Open data" alias.
Data processing
Basic processing steps:
- Removed fields "Notes," "Council district," "objectid," "Shop Number (Sortable)," "Integer ID," intersection name fields, "DOT Intersection ID," "DOT Intersection Num," "DPW Intersection ID," "Facility ID," "Salesforce ID," "Shop Number," "Zone"
- For objects with "Shop Type"="Traffic Signal", added
