@Chris2map: I noticed some weird behavior on this tag : if in ID, on the value oneway=no, I click on "modify/translate the documentation", it doesn't open the value page "oneway=no", but the key page "oneway". However, I can see it works properly with segregated=no. The consequence is that we don't have the proper description displaying in ID for the value oneway=no. We actually see the description of the key, which is misleading because it describes the contrary. Is this a voluntary mechanism, or would you know how to fix this ? @ExoticApple57: Still so? --Chris2map (talk) 10:20, 15 June 2025 (UTC)
@Chris2map: It seems you did it ! How did you find the oneway=no Q19392 page ?

Simply use the search function / search bar and narrow the search by selecting "Item" namespace only. Then type in e.g. oneway=no.

@Chris2map: Thanks !
@Chris2map: As I didn't find an item page for wheelchair=limited, I created one : https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Item:Q23055

But when I update the ID editor, the description for wheelchair=limited doesn't update, it seems ID isn't making the link to this page by itself : did I miss something ?

Probably because the article page wheelchair=limited (https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/w/index.php?title=Tag:wheelchair%3Dlimited&redirect=no) is not yet linked to the corresponding data item wheelchair=limited (Q23055) (you could recognize this, because on https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/w/index.php?title=Tag:wheelchair%3Dlimited&redirect=no there is currently no link to data item on left side menu bottom item in section "tools") you could do this by
=> Special:SetSiteLink - Make reference between data object and wiki article

@MalgiK: Thank you ! I just did it. Is this explained somewhere on the wiki ? I wouldn't have found it myself if you didn't tell me. Regards,

See Data items#Item_creation_process. --Chris2map (talk) 05:29, 17 June 2025 (UTC)
@MalgiK: I have again another question : I noticed that if I change the image of the description of a key/value for a different image, or even for the same image, it just disappears in ID editor, and it doesn't show again, even if I refresh the page. As an example, for oneway=yes, if I remove "Schildhb.jpg", add it again, then refresh ID, the picture disappears from the right of ID oneway=yes description and never comes back again. I have the same problem if I change the picture. I tried displaying ID in English and French and it's the same. I didn't put the "File:" before the picture name as mentioned. Do you know what is happening ?

For an image to show up in iD, the image has to be set with "preferred rank". Or in case of multiple images, one image (and only one!) has to be set with "preferred rank" so that iD knows whitch one to choose (the main international / English image). --Chris2map (talk) 05:29, 17 June 2025 (UTC)
@Chris2map: Thank you, I didn't see that the tiny arrows on the left of the image could be clicked, which allows to choose the rank. --ExoticApple57 (talk) 10:12, 17 June 2025 (UTC)
@Chris2map: Another complicated case : if I have several images, but one for each language, with the property "limited to language" : how should I set the rank ? I tried putting "normal" on each one, or "preferred" on each one, but it somehow doesn't work. And if I put only one image as "preferred rank", eg german, it displays the german image even when my ID editor is in French (I tested by switching language in ID) --ExoticApple57 (talk) 10:25, 17 June 2025 (UTC)
Afaik, iD isn't capable of displaying images according to the users language. It takes the one with "preferred rank". Therefore only one image can/should have "preferred rank". --Chris2map (talk) 11:55, 17 June 2025 (UTC)
