Ungewöhnlich, aber in Ordnung. Ich ändere es zurück.

Conveying all details as precisely as possible is always a bit tricky, especially if we want to make sure data consumers understand the tagging (at least roughly) at the same time. According to your description I suggest to use:

shop = vacant (there is an currently unused retail space)
was:craft = pottery (it was used for pottery before)
old_name = Jersey Pottery (if someone still remembers the name and searches for it)

You're right that 'disused:craft' is also not used very often, but there is a huge difference when it comes to software using the tag: It consists of a well-known tag 'craft' combined with a well-known prefix 'disused'. This makes it likely for software to understand it based on a generic scheme.
An undocumented prefix though is a lot harder to use in software and to make any sense out of it. The human reader has an intuitive understanding, but software has not.

Hi,
this node got a "archeologic=yes" tag which seems strange - could you check that?

The prefix 'vacant' is not among the common lifecycle prefixes:
osm.wiki/Lifecycle_prefix

"vacant:shop" is used 60 times world-wide (likely due to the one line in the Wiki you found on the "shop" page).
There are no other use cases of "vacant:*" with other tags to be found.

What is common is shop = vacant and vacant = yes.

'disused:' conveys exactly what you describe here: It's not in use right now, but can be put back to use easily.

Btw, there was never a tag on this POI saying it was a retailer - it was only tagged as a workshop. A pottery shop should be tagged shop = pottery.

Hi,
what does 'Agência=*' mean? This tag is not used in any other place.

Hallo,
die Doku findet sich hier:
post_office=*

Hi,
you used the tag 'hours' here and on several other restrictions. Shouldn't such a time restriction be tagged using the common :conditional syntax instead?

Welcome to OSM!
you used many tags here that are not in use in any other place. Please use only tags that are described in the OSM Wiki or are available in the presets of your editor.
This is necessary to make sure that every other user can understand the data.
Please have a look at the wiki about common
tags for shops or amenities.
Let us know in case you need help!

Hi,
all the "massgis:" tags you added here don't exist in any other place. Please fix or remove them.

Hi,
welcome to OSM!
I'm sorry to say that adding bus routes is not a good point to start contributing to OSM. Adding a bus route is a lot more complicated than drawing a new way and creating a relation. I suggest that you have a look to other cities with already mapped bus routes to learn how this is done. You can always ask for help on the various communication channels!

Hi,
please check the tags you used here and on other bicycle repair stations.
'service:bicycle:XYZ' is used to describe which features for servicing a bicycle are available, like tools.
They are not used for things like telephone chargers, toilets or TV.

Also, please note that all tags you use should be ones that are documented in the Wiki or are available as presets in the editor.

Hi,
these tags are not used in other places:
light_count
light_direction
light_shape

Could you check that? I guess you wanted to use ':' instead of '_'.

Hi,
please check the tags you added.
It's "health_level", not "health-level".

Thanks!

Hi,
welcome to OSM!
The fuel and payment tags you used here are not used by other people.

In OSM we have to use a well-defined set of tags to allow all the software tools to understand the data and e.g. show it on maps.
Also, our database in case sensitive, all keys have to be in lower case (with very few exceptions).
Please use only keys that are documented in the Wiki or are available as presets in your editor.

Alright. Then let's use a standard prefix, either 'not:' or 'disused:' and maybe add a note with the explanation.
