What the heck? Warum ist mein Artikel weitgehend durchgestrichen?

Comment from mobafan on 20 May 2008 at 13:12

... on pressing ESC and DEL keys anymore ...

Und um gleich meinen Kommentar von 12:53 zu Ergänzen: Dieses Formular fängt keine HTML-Eingaben ab, und da ich DEL in spitze Klammern gesetzt habe, ist danach alles durchgestrichen :-(

Please use trac to report issues, not the diary - I can't really keep track of what needs fixing if it's in 5000 different places!

http://trac.openstreetmap.org/ticket/898 is the relevant URL. If you add a comment there, please make sure to note what operating system and browser you're using.

(Incidentally, it should go without saying that this issue doesn't show up on my system: it's not simply that "Potlatch doesn't react on pressing any keys anymore", I wouldn't have committed a new version if that was the case! Firefox 2 and Safari 3 on OS X, and IE6 on Windows XP under Parallels, all work fine for me.)

Here in Denmark, on Vista, Ubuntu and Debian, with I.E. 7.0, FF 3, and FF 2, everything Potlach wise works. I think this one can be attributed to what we call an "Error Forty" here in Denmark - The Error is located approximately Forty centimeters above the keyboard... ;)

Talking of errors, the "del" used in the original post is really screwing up the display of text in internet explorer - everything on the page from that point on is struck through! I'm hoping that I have turned it off for the rest of this page now...

Thanks to the person who deleted the wrong motorway!

@ daveemtb: I didn't know that this script doesn't filter HTML-Tags and so i set the ESC and DEL into brackets - sorry for that.

@Richard: Not "any" key, only (at least) ESC and DEL, I wrote. I have added it to the trac, I didn't know before.

I have the same Problem. I'm using Opera 9.27 on Vista.

Comment from Paul Todd on 20 May 2008 at 20:42

I did see the problem once, but after going back to View mode and back into Edit mode things worked fine.

Comment from Richard on 21 May 2008 at 14:22

I've committed a fix based on my best guess as to what could be causing the problem. Would appreciate further reports.

Comment from Richard on 24 May 2008 at 12:11

Think I've finally identified it, but until I fix it in the next day or two, you may be able to clear the problem by opening the options dialogue then closing it again.

Comment from Richard on 24 May 2008 at 23:45

Fixed as of 0.9b. (0.9b isn't committed yet, though, because trac's down.)

Comment from mobafan on 28 May 2008 at 22:33

Richard, the keys work now. Thanks for that.

But: It seems Potlatch cannot fetch ways correctly, often it loads them without ending. Sometimes it will work if you change the zoom level, but not everytime.

But: It is not so relevant to me because I mainly use JOSM now (Potlatch barely for quick and dirty changes)
