Willkommen bei OSM. Eine Wirksame Impfung dagegen ist mir nicht bekannt. ;)

Ein Link unter “Anleitungsbroschüre” wäre für damit nicht vertraute Leser (wie mich) hilfreich.

Zum Malen von Gebäuden per JOSM: noch flotter geht es mit dem Plugin buildings_tools.

Gehe doch vom “man müsste” zu “ich mache”.
Erstelle ein Icon und baue eine Freizeitkarte damit. Oder überzeuge einen der derzeitigen Freizeitkartenmacher, dieses Icon zu verwenden.

OSM ist wie ein Wiki: du kannst alles selbst machen. :)

Interessante Details, die man bei OSM so “nebenbei” lernt. :) Für maxspeed kannst du ja so vorgehen: Die ultimative Höchstgeschwindigkeit kannst du als maxspeed=* belassen, weitere könntest du mit maxspeed:zugart_auf_englisch= eintragen.

Man kann auch Schutzhütte und den Aussichtspunkt getrennt mappen. Das hat unter anderem den Vorteil, dass die Aussicht auch dann noch existiert, wenn die Schutzhütte einmal abgebrannt oder zerrandaliert worden ist. :)

Bei Kritik finde ich handfeste Argumente (z.B. Screenshots) besser als mehr oder weniger schwammige Aussagen. Um diese zu verifieren müsste der geneigte Leser erst einmal herumsuchen und herumklicken, welche Karten wohl gemeint sind - und dann noch vergleichbare Stellen suchen.
Da der Ersteller des Beitrags sich vor dem Verfassen diese Mühe bereits gemacht hat wäre es wenig zusätzlicher Aufwand, dies Leser-kompatibel zu dokumentieren.

Das Vorgehen kenne ich irgendwie. :)

Ab und zu spiele ich auf der Slippymap in JOSM Blindekuh und lade aufs Geradewohl ein Gebiet herunter und schaue nach, was dort zu tun/finden ist.

Meine “private” irgendwann-ToDo-Liste (bis auf Korea und China jeweils auch vor Ort gewesen): osm.wiki/Unmapped_Aerial_Imagery Allerdings habe ich eh mehr Daten als Zeit, diese zu verwerten…

@ Mappo: I don’t speak R neither. I just blogged this as addition the the previous entry and to give people a look a the results without having to set up that stuff on their own. Of course I am a little disappointed after having had the work I can’t use the result.

3 MB gpx data data is not much data for me. After last years bike trip I had more then 20 MB; after a trip by car finished some days ago about 54 MB.

Though the most parts are already from mapped roads there are some kilometres to map left. In 2011 I just converted the log of the better device, converted, cleaned and uploaded it when there were some dozen km of new highway…

When I would have a go on such a part with makeroads I’d have to do the calculations with a lot of tiny bboxes since one single big bbox could cause to much “by-catch” of gpx-data which increase the duration of calculation uselessly.

thanks for having at look here.

I hope you realise the 18 hours were limited by a power blackout and not a successful finish of calculation. ;) I don’t think there was an issue with memory usage. The box on which I ran the script has 8GB and there was always at least 1GB free.
The bbox setup lines I already rearranged but didn’t mention it. I think people fiddling with scripts will realise that possibility on their own. On the other hand its no big issue.

To calculate tracks from the API has its advantages. When there are already some logs I’d prefer to include all of them instead of the only two or four I could create on my own.
Though a trap can be that the bbox can have a different size than the permalink to the map shows when using the export tab of osm.org. Maybe the script went a bit down to the southeast and choked on the data of the town of Logatec. I’ll give you the coordinates I used as soon as I am back on the box where I tested the script.

For the post of yesterday: maybe I shouldn’t use the nearly same topic.

I posted only screenshots of the two really bad parts of the averaged way. The rest of it is acceptable. The data is linked above that everybody can have a look on his own :)

Reading about how you care not to spread havoc and prefer the maybe harder-to-use open source to smoother running closed source it seems you have the best attitude to be a great contributor.

OSM is a very wide field to learn and work at if you have a deeper look, but don’t get discouraged. :)

Danke für die Blumen! Deinen Dank reiche ich aber auch an Frederik Ramm weiter. Wie oben erwähnt hat er den größten Teil der Arbeit geleistet.

Mit diashow.html meinst du vermutlich eine über das Internet laufende Diashow?

Wie in der readme zu lesen ist, müssen die Bilder für die Diashow an sich erst erstellt werden - und jeweils passend für die gewünschte Zielauflösung.

Ich habe weder die Möglich- noch die Fähigkeiten, diese Funktionalität online bereitzustellen. Natürlich steht dir frei, das selbst zu tun. :)

PS: Die Appartements in der Oberen Grundstraße 16 würde ich einzeln eintragen und adressieren.
