@OP: Jetzt habe ich auch mal die Daten angeschaut. Sehr hübsch und akkurat gearbeitet.
Ein paar Anmerkungen hätte ich auch: wenn Einbahnstraßen in andere Straßen münden, braucht es dort keine Abbiegebeschränkungen. Dass man dort nich hineinfahren darf, erkennt der Router bereits durch das ankommende oneway=yes.

Als Anhaltspunkt, welche default-Werte für die Benutzung von Straßen gelten, kannst du diese Tabelle verwenden:

Damit vermeidest du Inkonsistenzen. An einigen Straßen hast du bicycle=yes, foot=yes, an anderen nur bicycle=yes. Impliziert das (in in deiner Stadt) foot=no? ;)
Einigen highway=residential fehlt der Name.
Etliches (und noch etwas mehr) von mir Angemerktes kannst du mit dem Validator in JOSM selbst prüfen.
Related-Street-Relationen sind Geschmackssache. Zusammen mit addr:street an den Gebäuden hat man zudem unerwünschte Redundanz.

@dcp: Das täuscht. Nach reichlich drei Jahren war hier (10-k-Einwohner-Städtchen) fast alles drin. Jetzt bleiben nur noch ein paar™ Adressen und vielleicht ein paar Trampelpfade. Um alle Gebäude abzuzeichnen, ist Bing nicht hochauflösend und aktuell genug.
Den anfangs bescheidenen Grundstock habe ich lange Zeit allein ausgebaut. Nach einem Jahr oder mehr fand sich ein zweiter Mapper ein. Gelegentlich haben auch andere (virtuell) vorbeigeschaut.

Thinking of it, you could (if you are a kind of coder) write something to check if gpx-logs on OSM.org are located near ways which would mean that they are mapped.
Additionally you could have a look at some of the top gpx-uploaders¹ and look at osm.org if this data also covers unmapped regions - that is, as far as the traces are public

Maybe instead of using hand scribbled notes you could use fotographs combined with your GPS to collect data?

welcome to OSM! :)

Be happy you have to do a lot. I worked two years on "my" 10k-inhabitants-town. Now it is mostly complete (except of addresses) and I can't watch anymore satisfying big progresses on the map.
Maybe you should make some screenshots or export your town so you can compare and enjoy.
Nice to see you entering verbose comments to the changeset and being sensible about touching others ppl data.
For the removing blank nodes (though I haven't found them with a quick view at your edits) I guess it should be alright.
In case I find several created by the same user I try to contact and tell him about. Maybe he lost valuable data he tried to put into OSM and is thankful of getting reported.
Or (that happens too) if someone doesn't care about some dozen abandoned nodes he should learn that others see them, too and clean them up himself.

Ich habe noch nicht nachgeschaut, ob dieses Tag auch im aktuellen Preset enthalten ist.
Allerdings würde ich statt shop= eher craft= für die Schmiede verwenden. Man kann in Schmieden nicht so sehr einkaufen als vielmehr Sachen fertigen lassen.

So 3 months of work remain - still an unbelievable effort.

Regarding scanaerial: I have enhanced the wiki page so setup should be easier. After all, you already mastered JOSM! ;)

Du kannst als Hintergrund jede beliebige Farbe nehmen oder OSM in Osma-, Mapnik- oder Cyclemapgeschmack. Bing geht natürlich auch :)

I assume working four (!) months on it you drew all of it by hand?

To complete your stats a bit:
The relation contains 275 islets, all objects have 48.996 nodes.
Its outer ways have a total length of 1.124 km (1.124.139,19 m)

Although it maybe discourages you a bit I want to mention scanaerial¹ which can trace coasts, riverbanks and such.
With its predecessor in spirit Lakewalker I traced Lake Nasser.² Though I had this great tool I needed one week (seemed much to me) to complete my work.

A link to the account on which you upload the traces or a link to the traces itself would be helpful. So one would know where to start mapping.

I had to simplify the tracks to 1 point/750 metres, otherwise the browser has too much to do.

Das mit der Sitzbank kann ich verstehen. Wenn ich irgendwo durchfahre und nebenbei ein paar Fotos mache, kann ich nur ausgewählte straßennahe Sachen mappen.
