Hi, I just came across your edit on way/285727050/history, and I think you should keep in mind that highway=cycleway implies bicycle=designated, so this is redundant.

If it’s a small way that may be used by cyclists and pedestrians in the same way, hw=path + foot=designated + bicycle=designated is correct (as it was before).

If it’s a cycleway in the first place that may be used by pedestrians as well, hw=cycleway + foot=yes is correct.

If it’s wide enough to allow vehicles such as tractors, it’s at least hw=track instead of path.

I’m afraid that I cannot tell you much more about it than I already did. Wheelmap as such is described in the Wiki: osm.wiki/Wheelmap. They focus on wheelmap accessibility tagging in the first place but somehow the app allows badly wrong placements of entries without the user knowing (I do hope it’s just knowing, not caring). I don’t use the app myself and cannot say much about detail, neither do I know about contacting contributors. We discuss these issues frequently in the German user forum, that’s where I got my knowledge from.

I forgot to mention the destination tagging has to be attached to the way leading there (way/148927689), not the junction node.

I know it’s been some time since you did this but "A1 – THE NORTH" is not the actual name of this junction but the signposted destination which should be tagged as

destination=THE NORTH
destination:ref=A1

This enables routing software to give accurate turn-by-turn directions based on signage (e.g. "turn onto A1 road towards THE NORTH"). So, could you consider to re-edit this and similar ones?

"created by rosemary" means this is a bundle upload of wheelmap.org users entries (that’s why they tend to span the entire globe). While the entries themselves are based on local survey (i.e. it is not an import), the rosemary editor appears to not make sure properly to place them on the correct position. Most of them are correct and useful but there are always some that need to be looked after.

Wenn wir „autobahnähnlich“ nach Gefühl definieren, wird es schwierig. An diesem Abschnitt der B 35 steht das Zeichen 333-21, das laut StVO ausschließlich an autobahnähnlichen Straßen aufgestellt werden darf und damit ein hinreichendes Kriterium für einen hw=trunk bildet. Hallo, kurze Frage: Nach welcher Quelle hast du die B 421 zwischen Kappel und Kirchberg zusätzlich B 327 ge-ref-t? Laut Netzknotenplan RLP ist das ausschließlich die B 421. Die B 327 endet demnach an der Kreuzung in Kappel und beginnt kurz vor Hirschfeld (Bahnhof) wieder. Wenn du nichts dagegen hast, ändere ich das entsprechend.

Dann nehmen wir das wieder weg. Ich wollte nur deshalb fragen, weil es sich ja auch nur im Platz geirrt haben könnte.

I am not entirely sure since there is no inscript, but there is a stone resembling a steeple at the spot I mapped it, and having read on Wikipedia that the KS is close to the northbound side of the road and just a few yards off the inn, I thought that was it. Unfortunately it’s hardly visible on the only Mapillary image (https://www.mapillary.com/app/?lat=54.46354500000001&lng=-2.9256216666666433&z=17&pKey=0jeM-fSY8bSDlM6H0b_Biw&focus=photo&x=0.4099092757333193&y=0.6171998295133851&zoom=0.7564224548049474) but very well on Google SV (where I didn’t copy it from of course).

Ich finde es nicht richtig, die Minikreisel in der Willy-Brandt-Allee durch große zu ersetzen. Die Definition ist eindeutig: Jeder Kreisel mit überfahrbarer Mittelinsel (für Fahrzeuge, die nicht außen rum kommen) ist in OSM ein Minikreisel. Das hat schon seinen Sinn, daran erkennen nämlich LKW-Navis, dass sie den Kreisel nicht ausfahren müssen, sondern über die Mittelinsel fahren können. Machst du das bitte wieder rückgängig?

Eine habe ich weggenommen bzw. auf proposed umgetaggt (zwischen Tiefenbach und Leun), weil das OTG definitiv keine Baustelle zu sehen ist, das Ding ist maximal geplant. Beim Abschnitt bei Oberbiel bin ich mir nicht sicher, ob sie da nicht tatsächlich schon bauen. Ich schaue nächstes Mal nach; seit ich einen Kunden in Wetzlar habe, komme ich ab und zu da durch :)
