Hello again.

Thanks for replying so quickly.
Whilst adding ordinary pavements as separate ways isn't wrong, it can be a lot of work to get right, especially managing all the links to crossings and side roads. Unless there's something special about a particular pavement (e.g. it's separated from the road by a fence, or it's a shared use path with cycling allowed), it's usually easier just to add the tags to the road itself.

If you're interested, you might like to look at the mobile app StreetComplete which makes adding tags to existing roads and paths simple.

Hello!

The pavement for Alresford Road where it crosses the motorway should be tagged as bridge=yes and layer=1 (to match the adjacent road) - it should not be joined to the motorway itself (there's no way a pedestrian could get from the pavement to the motorway). If you are going to map pavements separately from the roads, which isn't commonly done, could you also split the crossings and tag those as footway=crossing, please? footway=crossing

Hi!

I see you've been adding plenty of pavements and parking areas to OpenStreetMap in Winchester.

For on-street parking or parking at the side of the road, tagging on the way for the road might be better - have a look at osm.wiki/Street_parking

When you add pavements, could you adjust the sidewalk tag on the road that it relates to, please? For example, way/448703207 - now you've added the pavements as separate ways, the road should change from sidewalk=both to sidewalk=separate or sidewalk:both=separate - sidewalk=*?uselang=en-GB#Separately_mapped_sidewalks

The sign on the bridge was stronger than merely "dismount" - my vague memory from the Summer is that it was more like End of Cycle Route (as it was when I originally tagged the path in changeset/29010385 ), so I've put it back to bicycle=dismount

forgot to close changeset - also added some more roads and paths visible from aerial imagery in Potlatch in Hounsome Fields

It's definitely not a bridleway. Provided the foot, bicycle, and segregated tags are retained, I would be happy for it to be tagged as highway=path.

highway=bridleway means that this is a route for horses, but the signs only allow pedestrians and cyclists.

North of Connaught Road, the signs change to Public Bridleway.

I'll revert the changes shortly as they're not as per the signs.

Hi!

I see you've made changes to the permissive cycle route from Andover Road North to South Wonston. South of Connaught Road, it's not a bridleway - only pedestrians and cyclists are allowed.

I agree with this: as a former resident of Reading, I know it as a town, and so does the UK Government: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/list-of-cities/list-of-cities-html

Hi!

There are a number of changes in this changeset that seem odd:-
1. Please try to keep changesets in the same area/country - having one that spans the globe is difficult to check
2. a massive Carrefour, larger than a town, not visible on aerial imagery: way/1213068685
3. The smallest Carrefour I have ever come across, the size of a car: way/1213068683
4. An unlikely house name: way/1213068679

OpenStreetMap should reflect what is actually in the real world - it is not a personal map. Could you check and correct these items, please? osm.wiki/How_We_Map

Hi! "Minor edit" is not a descriptive changeset comment, especially when repeated for all your changesets. Could you use something that explains what you changed and why, e.g. "added detail to postbox from visit"? You might find osm.wiki/Good_changeset_comments helpful.

Hi! You've changed the tagging of a number of roads with houses on one or both sides from highway=residential to highway=unclassified. What was the source for this change?

Hi S281 - the bridges added in this changeset don't seem to be complete. Could you have a look at man_made=bridge - the highways (roads) carried by the bridges should join with the bridge, and should be split at the bridge boundaries. Also, way/1201500329 is missing the bridge tagging.

Secondly, what are the sources for your edits? You can use the "Sources" box in the editor to specify these.

Finally, it's best if your changeset comments describe some combination of what you did, why you did it, and where the information came from, rather than just copying the same comment each time. For example "added some missing bridge structures over the M8 from Bing aerial imagery". You can have a look at osm.wiki/Good_changeset_comments for some more tips.

Hi!
You've added way/1198050652 - as it's a miniroundabout, it should be tagged as a single node where the roads meet, rather than as a circle. The following articles will hopefully help:-
* highway=mini_roundabout
* junction=roundabout

Hello Geoff.

This changeset was generated using a particular quest in StreetComplete -there isn't one to specify inclines.
