| 39390596 | over 9 years ago | Hola Andres! Welcome to OSM. I noticed you added some information to OSM, which ist good. Please keep in mind that, in order to make data useful to other people, you have to tag objects according the OSM wiki (osm.wiki/Main_Page). Otherwise your entries can not be read by software using the OSM database. Please improve the following areas (or remove them if not needed): way/419139321
For example "clave geografica" is not a valid OSM key. If you need help, just let me know or have a look at the OSM forum. All the best, highflyer74 |
over 9 years ago | Hello there! I noticed you added some new keys to the database like case:deadline=* etc. Although this is not forbidden, it is recommended to stick to the thousands of well established key=value combinations which can be found in the OSM documentation. For internal planning data (like you added) it is even recommended to use that data only locally on your computer(s) but keep it out of the public database. If you need help on that, check the OSM forum and get in touch with your friendly co-mappers!
over 9 years ago | Hello! Once again I would like to get your attention concerning the quality of the data you put into the OSM database. Several others have commented on that in several other changesets done by your mapping group. The same mistakes are repeated over and over and none of you ever reply to comments like this. This is not how OSM works. It is a collaborative project, and that involves people talking to eachother... You tag highways sometimes with three different keys. Two of them are wrong. Please watch out for what you are typing, as you are producing a lot of work for other mappers to fix your tagging!
over 9 years ago | Hello and welcome to OSM! I noticed you added some information to OSM, which ist good. Please keep in mind that, in order to make data useful to other people, you have to tag objects according the OSM wiki (osm.wiki/Main_Page). Otherwise your entries can not be read by software using the OSM database. Also, OSM is a pure non-commercial geographic database and provides no means of "advertising". I changed the added info to better fit into OSM. If you would like to keep on mapping, don't hesitate to ask me or other fellow mappers. All the best, highflyer74

over 9 years ago | Moin und willkommen bei OSM!
over 9 years ago | Hello yogi_ks! Yes, it seems to be a group of mappers (@bdiscoe/diary/38581) adding a lot of data over the last weeks (which is good, especially in these strange political times...). Unfortunately they do not seem to be aware of the fact that some of the data they add is unusable. And the same mistake is being repeated again and again... Maybe someone local could bring up the problem on the OSM India Forum?
over 9 years ago | Hello! Just to let you know: when you tag substations you can tag the voltage by using only one key (voltage)=* and then as the value the different voltage amounts from highest to lowest, separated by a ";". That makes tagging easier for you and also fits the recommendation in the wiki (power=substation). All the best and happy mapping!
over 9 years ago | Ok, thank you! Unfortunately I did some editing in the NW part of the changeset already, as I initially did not see the size of the affected area. That of course makes reverting more complicated... See you!
over 9 years ago | Hello! This needs attention... objekt=riverbank is not really fitting for this. Please have a look at waterway=riverbank. Happy mapping!

over 9 years ago | Hello! I noticed you added some information to OSM, which ist good. Please keep in mind that, in order make data useful to other people, you have to tag objects according the OSM wiki (osm.wiki/Main_Page). Otherwise your entries can not be read by software using the OSM database. Many highway tags are full of typos and/or double or triple tagged. Also many ways are not connected to eachother (no routing possible). I would recommend to keep an eye on quality, as otherwise your effort will not produce any benefit for others... Please do not take it personal, the above advice applies to others as well. All the best, highflyer74

Please keep in mind that, in order make data useful to other people, you have to tag objects according the OSM wiki (osm.wiki/Main_Page). Otherwise your entries can not be read by software using the OSM database. In JOSM buildings can be made rectangular by selecting them and pressing "q" on the keyboard. That is a good help when adding buildings. Also, the the key "building" is only added to the building itself and not to the nodes the building consists of. Also it is advisable to add a changeset comment and tell others the source of the data when uploading new or modified objects. If you have any questions, you can have a look at the OSM Wiki, the OSM forums or mailing lists. Happy mapping! |
over 9 years ago | @Jan: Ooops, did not see the comment in time and changed it to what it most probably is... If not, we have to change it back. Oliver (mal wieder ;-))

over 9 years ago | Der Apothekenname scheint jetzt zu passen. Bist Du überhaupt an Tipps interessiert?
over 9 years ago | Hallo nochmal! In diesem Fall osm.wiki/DE:Key:opening_hours. Danke!
over 9 years ago | Moin!
over 9 years ago | Ja, jetzt ist er ganz weg.
