over 9 years ago | Maybe you can check on the French forum / mailinglists about the status of that idea. I just asked on the German forum to see if anybody knows anything there. Thank you for your answers anyway! I'll let you know what they say over here :-)

over 9 years ago | Hello and thanks for your quick reply! Then this seems to be a "french only" way of tagging things. The discussion about having duplicate adresses is still going on, and although I (and I guess all other mappers) would love to have a general consent on such a basic issue, there is no consent yet. The first link you sent leads to a draft, which has not been voted on nor has it been approved in any way, as far as I can see. So I don't think this should be used in everyday tagging. In my opinion it only makes sense to apply such a serious change in tagging worldwide and not only in one country. Do you know if there has been a discussion on that in any international mailing list or forum?
over 9 years ago | Hello and welcome to OSM! I noticed you added some information to OSM, which ist good. Please keep in mind that, in order to make data useful to other people, you have to tag objects according the OSM wiki (osm.wiki/Main_Page). Otherwise your entries can not be read by software using the OSM database. Is there any aim to adapt the OSM tagging scheme for this large import? All the best, highflyer74
over 9 years ago | Hello there! Is the ctry=140 required? It does not seem to be an established OSM key=value combination...

over 9 years ago | Hello Andy! What does the key "accesland" in these ways (way/419026104 + way/419026106) mean? Maybe fingertrouble...? Greets from across the Channel!
over 9 years ago | Hello! Please make sure to cleanup tags according to OSM tagging scheme (e.g. not using capital letters etc). Thank you!
over 9 years ago | Hello there! Just curious, what is meant by "ingress" in this case way/419490495 ? So far this is the only key used in OSM. Any idea to tag it according to wiki?

Please keep in mind that, in order to make data useful to other people, you have to tag objects according the OSM wiki (osm.wiki/Main_Page). Otherwise your entries can not be read by software using the OSM database. For example "Infra" and "Institución" are not valid OSM keys. Please keep in mind not to use capital letters. | 39426586 | over 9 years ago | Hello! I noticed you changed some address data to contact:postcode etc. This is wrong. The initial version was correct. contact:* is used for phone, website etc. Happy mapping! |
over 9 years ago | Hello! Welcome to OSM! Please keep in mind not to use capital letters with standard keys / values. Also watch out for typos... Happy mapping!
over 9 years ago | Moin Berti!
over 9 years ago | Thanks for the quick reply! As I am mainly mapping things and doing quite a bit of quality assurance, I am not that involved in the different ways to display data. I remember uMap (https://umap.openstreetmap.fr/en/) being mentioned in forums as an easy solution. With the Overpass Turbo (https://overpass-turbo.eu/) you can set up different (also quite complex) queries to display the data you need. When it comes to programming things Leaflet (http://leafletjs.com/) seems to be popular. If that does not help, try the UK OSM forum (http://forum.openstreetmap.org/viewforum.php?id=5), and if there is no help there try the German one (http://forum.openstreetmap.org/viewforum.php?id=14). I hope this is of help. If you don't need the data anymore, just keep in mind to remove it again latest by then. All the best from across the Channel!
over 9 years ago | Tach!
over 9 years ago | Hello! Can the "COMPARTSNO" key be removed? This does not really comply with OSM documentation...
