| 72286041 | over 6 years ago | it is a great disappointment that `e' is the best honour you can bestow upon the great Penis Road renaming action commemorated by this changeset. please learn to be more descriptive and give a swell explanation of just what you are trying to get up to, it really isn't that hard. |
| 72245895 | over 6 years ago | same here. `e' gives no clue that there is a 420 metre tall erection to be found here. `label Penis Land' would be much more considerate to your followers to explain what you have done, or close enough. |
| 72287649 | over 6 years ago | please use a meaningful like `rename Tuolumne as Sex City' description as i cannot tell that Sex City has become the name from the `e' you have used over the majority of your changesets, whether related to Sex City, or unrelated to Sex City. thanks!! |

| 72463425 | over 6 years ago | i am referring to this point, node/2491260331/history , which up to a month ago was rudis. it seems odd to me that an office would take this over, i would expect it to be in an upper floor sharing the same address. i fed the address, bahnhofstr.1 and the keyword rudis to google to see if there was evidence it had closed, as rudis bistro as mapped six years ago returned nothing useful. konditorei/eisdieele was one of the results returned. i know it is not in osm, but i bring it up as an unmapped possibility that may, like the current incarnation of rudis bistro, still exist at ground level at this address. as you note, maps.me is probably the worst editor to use on osm, apart from all the others that are worse. there are a heap of resolved Notes here that point to existing features or the geometrical centre, and it could be the arch. office simply recycled a valid POI rather than create a new one, something i have seen too often. i am analysing this from afar, but if you are local, it would be great if you could survey this building and correct and add anything missing. danke/grazie |
| 73703443 | over 6 years ago | mojn, can you elaborate on the reason behind the deletions visualised by https://nrenner.github.io/achavi/?changeset=73703443 ? i fail to understand why a dense urban environment necessitates losing detailed mapping that describes how one accurately reaches from point a to point b. grazie |
| 50429282 | over 6 years ago | zooming into https://nrenner.github.io/achavi/?changeset=50429282 i see an added traffic signal as well as some minor geometry smoothing. relations are not shown, of course. the deleted ways are not visible as the one i checked shared all nodes with a different way i see you've started to fix since this query. dunno if that helps... |
| 73839713 | over 6 years ago | and as you yourself describe what has been done technically, but not your reason for doing so, your changeset description is totally off-topic. further, it has a logic flaw.
right that, but
there are very few area-mapped highway features in osm. exceptions that can be tied to the adjoining grass include the pedestrian walkways at disneyland/-world, or scattered micromapped driveways. the former have been systematically deleted and replaced with routable footpaths due to limitations of routers in handling areas properly at present. the typical osm mapping of most highways is a schematic line of zero-width at the centre of the area it represents. an area such as a park can also be schematically represented as a point, yet i never see anyone advocating that because the park extends to the street, the two should be joined. so long as areas in real life continue to be roughly mapped in osm by linear representations, then to imply they have equal status to mapped areas, is misleading and a twist of logic, in addition to being irrelevant to this changeset. |
| 73900350 | over 6 years ago | hmmm, bunkhouses suggest to me what i understand is among the offerings of a hostel. then the osm definition of a hostel may differ from mine, never having been in one meself as my ex-girlfriend was long past the point of a communal or group experience. what i expect seeing an alpine hut on osm at low zoomlevels is what i discovered some 30 years ago when i thought i'd make an old roman pass into the ticino in a day, not being young and foolish as i was far from young. reaching the pass proper, probably in november or something, i noticed two things, that it was getting dark, and that the weather had turned. three things, there was on outline off to the side. beihg off-season it was closed, but it did offer facilities allowing me to spend the night shivering yet not getting any more wet. the other branestorming thought i came up with now, is maybe a clubhouse as i understand it, if osm has the concept of such a thing. at least one of the objects i reverted had a private tag, which goes against the principle of aalpine wandering, such members-only things off-limits in theory to a random joe at zoomlevel 13 and not worth a detour. i am guessing these are clubhouses, and taking your word they offer a specific form of accommodation that the public may use with reservation. (yeah, double meaning.) basically, lots of clubs do lotsa things, and i could be well wrong, and am the first to admit i don't know osm categories, but it gets on me tits to find shedloads of alpine huts mapped along tropical coastlines, and on private residences. thoughts? thanks |
| 72463425 | over 6 years ago | and what about the previous usage of this recycled point? is this an additional entry at this address that should not have replaced rudi's konditorei or cafe or bistro, that still appears in my search results? |
| 73884012 | over 6 years ago | i had the idea that josm (which i've never used) did not automatically download from https://github.com/osmlab/editor-layer-index , unlike the other major editors. anyway, what used to be vivid is now the maxar layer by name, the url needed no changes i am aware of, so if a manual josm update is needed but brings no benefit, i'm happy to see reference to an earlier and identifiable label (as i refer to esri clarity as archived bing) |
| 41063995 | over 6 years ago | This changeset has been reverted fully or in part by changeset/73904860 where the changeset comment is: shedload of bogus maps.me viewpoints that are really private homes and include personal information |
| 70842582 | over 6 years ago | This changeset has been reverted fully or in part by changeset/73903589 where the changeset comment is: both already mapped four years in far more likely locations. why does maps.me even allow creating such a widely abused item that really cannot be mapped as a point... |
