over 4 years ago | I used up the UK tagging scheme as precedent for this rule not applying. Regardless, I suppose that it was a bit misleading for me to not point out the fact that the UK tagging scheme is based strictly on their designation from a central authority.
over 4 years ago | I am. I made this change after discussing it in #local-pennsylvania, but said discussion is buried somewhere in a thread.
over 4 years ago | I suppose this returns to the main theme of your comments on my changesets—we can't seem to agree on how long a road needs to have motorway-like characteristics in order for it to be a motorway.
over 4 years ago | I should have been more detailed with my changeset comment. At the north end of this road, across the Susquehanna River, the divided highway suddenly terminates without so much as a "Freeway Ends" sign; it's a case where it's difficult to tell where the trunk road ends and the motorway begins.
over 4 years ago | Also, I must apologize for my lackluster change set comments. It's a terrible habit, and I *really should* know better by now 😞
over 4 years ago | The "trunks with two consecutive interchanges are motorways" rule seems pretty arbitrary, especially when you can easily find examples from around the world that don't conform to this rule: Are you confident that this rule is widely accepted?
over 4 years ago | Kittanning to Punxatawny, not Plumville
over 4 years ago | I really don't think that roads should be changing their classifications at random exits to lower-class roads. I personally would tag this entire section of US 322 as trunk, but then I'd just start an edit war.
over 4 years ago | Fixed.
over 4 years ago | This was a mistake. I should have cut it off at the Milroy exit.
over 4 years ago | Thank you. This mess of roads is extremely confusing.
over 4 years ago | Reverted 90383701 because their reasoning for converting this from a trunk is not true.

over 4 years ago | In short, physically-seperated HOV lanes are supposed to be tagged as a motorway-link.
over 4 years ago | > A parallel motorway carriageway (US: parallel lanes) such as a collector/distributor road or physically separated HOV lanes / reversible lanes should be tagged as motorway_link. If the major road is classed as trunk or principal, then that class of _link shall be used instead.

over 4 years ago | That's fine. The appropriate place to continue this conversation is in this discussion page:
over 4 years ago | I'd like to dispute your reverting of this changeset. I do not think it was the right decision despite the reasons you provided. I would still consider these to be "more a tram stop than a railway halt" because of their ≤300 meter proximity between each other, their alignment to the curb on separate streets, and their lack of a clear entrance and exit or exit.
over 4 years ago | The wiki page for `highway=motorway` does not list speed limits as a criterion.
over 4 years ago | This tunnel is apart of an interstate, and all interstates, turnpikes, and freeways are supposed to be tagged with `highway=motorway`.
