This looks like an apartment building. Does this business take up the entire building? Is it open to the public/customers?

Welcome to OSM. You have added a lot of features which aren't visible on aerial imagery. Can you please describe what you are adding in more detail?

Also, the bicycle parking should only be represented by one object (the node or the way). I deleted the node.

Welcome to OSM, and thanks for your contribution. You can press "Q" to square the corners of buildings

Welcome to OSM, and thanks for your contribution.
Crossings can be tricky - in this case they look good, but I would use a separate object for each direction of the crossing, instead of one long one. Also, there should be a highway=crossing node at the intersection of the northbound side of Murphy Road.
I went ahead and fixed this for you, which you can review here:

This might be "Hunters Crossing Drive" when fully spelled out. What do you think?

Looks good to me. Thanks for your contribution, and welcome to OSM!

Glad to hear it. Good luck on your project!

Hello Zachary,

Welcome to OSM, and thanks for your contribution. tourism=apartment is for vacation rentals - you can use landuse=residential + residential=apartments instead.

residential=apartments

let me know if you have any questions

Hi Valentina, can you explain why you made this classification change? highway=primary is for major roads connecting population areas. I think this should probably continue to be a service road.

Welcome to OSM. Changes you make are visible to everyone, so it's not appropriate to add features that don't reflect reality (like this natural=wood area crossing a residential area), even if it's for a project :)

Swimming pools should be tagged with leisure=swimming_pool, not natural=water + water=pool

wiki page for swimming pool:
leisure=swimming_pool

Welcome to OSM. You added this backyard as a building - I went ahead and mapped the house and added the address to it.

In general, I try to put any non-obvious sources in the source tag of the changeset, so users can determine exactly where the data comes from. You can add multiple sources as well.

Regarding the licensing, the general consensus in the OSM community is to err on the side of caution regarding datasets like this, since they took some effort to gather (often called "Sweat of the Brow"). Factual data scraped/gathered from individual church websites is completely acceptable though.

https://osmfoundation.org/wiki/Licensing_Working_Group/Minutes/2023-08-14#Ticket#2023081110000064_%E2%80%94_First_party_websites_as_sources

My personal recommendation (not a lawyer, just another contributor) is to try to get explicit permission from the website to use their data.

You mention on your website that you are using https://www.goarch.org/parishes/ as a source for some(?) of this information. I wasn't able to find a license for this data - have you gotten permission to use this dataset?
If so, it would also be helpful to add it to the source tag for your changesets.

I commend you for your efforts - the US has tons and tons of outdated and nonexistent church information, so it's a welcome improvement.

I went ahead and moved it to where I think it is based on your messages. Can you confirm?
changeset/163075613

You can use revert tools like https://revert.monicz.dev/ , but in this case I just moved made a new node, copied the surveillance-related tags to it, and removed them from the crossing node.

access=no means it does not open for anyone. This is probably not what you intended. If you explain what your goal is, maybe I can point you in the right direction.

I'm not sure I understand what the purpose of this multipolygon is - aren't they two separate buildings?

163072070 10 months ago

USPS uses abbreviated suffixes for street names. On OSM, we use the expanded version of the suffix, which is Court. I changed this back - if you are having a specific problem with OSM data, I might be able to point you in the right direction.
