Welcome to OSM!

You don't need to tag footways with a foot=yes access tag. It doesn't hurt, but it's implied by the tag. You can check out the default access values for different highway=* values on the wiki:

Happy mapping!

Welcome to OSM!
When using iD, you can hold control (or alt on macos) to keep the object you are drawing from 'snapping' to other objects. Also you can press Q with an area selected in order to square the edges and clean things up a bit.
Happy mapping!

Hello Dartmouthmapmaker, did you mean to upload a changeset with only nodes and no tags?

Hello PDX_To_SJC123

Welcome to OpenStreetMap! I understand your concern about the accessibility of these driveways, but this is not the correct way to do it - If these driveways are private, then you can add the tag `access=private` in order to indicate so. Removing valid data from the map will result in someone else coming back through later and adding it back, without the valuable information you can add. Marking the ways as private will prevent people from being unintentionally routed down these roads, as well as show up as private on maps.

Hello 2feet, please stop removing data from the map. I understand that this path is private, but removing it entirely is not the solution. Marking a path as private informs users that access is not allowed, and further emphasizes that it is not suitable for public use. If it is is removed, people may add it back without knowledge of the usage rights.

Removing valid map data is not the correct solution to this problem. Like others have said, correcting the access tags will make navigation software avoid it. If it is removed, another mapper is likely to come through and draw it again without understanding the on-the-ground conditions like you can.

Hello echostatic,

If this building is still standing, it might be a good idea to readd the GNIS ID from the removed Dill School node.

Hello, was marking this section of Eaglemont Drive as a barrier in error?

120649290 over 2 years ago

Hello,

In this changeset you removed the "Hilltop Christian Academy Football Stadium" which was added in the GNIS import. I believe this still exists but is several hundred meters away. Do you have local knowledge which confirms that it is not there?

I see. I have a hunch that the primary spillway is what's currently marked as a culvert. There is a small concrete platform at the bottom of the reservoir side of the dam which I have not actually gone down to near the termination of the culvert on OSM.

Hi csomerville, what are your thoughts about the spillway feature? I'm not sure what it looked like before the park opened but it is certainly not a canal currently.
