| 146387931 | almost 2 years ago | Hello! Welcome to OSM. Please go through the OSM Wiki to understand how to make changes: osm.wiki/India Also, kindly avoid making fictional changes like you have done here. OSM is a database that is widely used across the world for use cases ranging from Disaster Management, to Navigation and adding fictional data benefits nobody. I have gone ahead and deleted this motorway you created, which clearly does not exist. If you need to experiment with OSM, kindly download data locally and play around in any GIS software. Thanks! |

| 137012291 | over 2 years ago | Hello and thanks for your edits. I believe we had a discussion about this previously as well, but a gentle reminder - please make sure you add better changeset descriptions. "no" doesn't really specify what exactly you have changed. Please read through: osm.wiki/Good_changeset_comments#:~:text=A%20good%20changeset%20comment%20should,have%20edited%20on%20the%20map. Happy mapping

| 136783423 | over 2 years ago | Hello and welcome to OSM! Please map buildings to the base of the building, also known as the footprint and not the roof. Here's a helpful link: https://code.mendhak.com/openstreetmap-tall-buildings/

| 136827079 | over 2 years ago | Hello and welcome to OSM. When you map buildings, make sure you map the base of the building, known as a footprint, and not the roof. Read https://code.mendhak.com/openstreetmap-tall-buildings/

| 136863612 | over 2 years ago | This is a relation. It's right there. Read osm.wiki/Relation Please remove the fixme, it does not need to be fixed.

| 136526124 | over 2 years ago | Hello! Please provide meaningful changeset comments when you make changes to OSM. It's great that you are mapping as per reality, but your changesets need to explain a bit more about what you've actually done. Please read through osm.wiki/Good_changeset_comments |
| 136179826 | over 2 years ago | I have fixed this in the changeset changeset/136236731. Please be careful going forward. |
| 136180158 | over 2 years ago | I'm assuming you want to map a pool. The tags you've used are incorrect, unfortunately. The OSM wiki describes tags that you can use to map different types of objects. The correct tag to use over here is leisure=swimming_pool. Since the individual pools are a part of the apartment complex, they need not have a name of their own. You can define which pool is used by adults, and which ones are for children by adding custom access tags, for example: access=adults, access=children. I have made these changes for you in this changeset, so that you can use it for future reference: changeset/136205369 |
| 136179826 | over 2 years ago | Hello! Welcome to OSM and thanks for your edits. When you add buildings to the map, make sure you map them at the footprint (base) of the building, and not the walls of the building. Take a look at: https://learnosm.org/en/hot-tips/tracing-rectangular-buildings/ Please correct the outline, and feel free to reach out if you have any questions. Happy mapping! |
| 135796977 | over 2 years ago | Hello! Thanks for your edits. Please make sure that buildings are only mapped at the footprint of the building, and that they do not join road. In this case, I believe you have marked the entire building premises as a building rather than the structure itself. Kindly disconnect the building outline from the road and redraw to match the actual building footprint. Here's some reading material: https://iriman.github.io/en/hot-tips/tracing-rectangular-buildings/

| 135767094 | over 2 years ago | Hi! Thanks for your edits. Could you please square off the buildings as you add them? Since you use the iD editor, you can either press Q on your keyboard after you draw the shape, or right click on the shape and press Q. Here's a helpful link: https://learnosm.org/en/hot-tips/tracing-rectangular-buildings/ Happy mapping!

| 135608753 | over 2 years ago | Hello! Welcome to OSM! If you're testing, please feel free to do so but ensure that you revert your changes or don't commit changes to the database. OSM is used widely by the community and it is important that all data that goes in to OSM is valid. Some recommended reading: osm.wiki/Good_practice You are welcome to be in touch with the India community via Mail/Telegram if you have any questions about how you could contribute. Happy mapping! P.S. I have removed this edit in changeset/135684716 |
| 135464919 | over 2 years ago | Hello! Thanks for your edits and adding your business to OSM. One note: the 'highway' is used to specify road characteristics - such as whether the road is a motorway, a residential road and so on. Since you added an office, the highway tag (highway=Aundh) is unnecessary, and also incorrect. I would suggest that you add your complete address with the tag addr:full instead (refer to osm.wiki/India#Pages_with_specific_guidelines_for_India:~:text=Tagging%20guidelines-,Addressing,-There%20is%20currently). I have corrected this and removed the highway tag from the location. If you have any questions or would like to know more about how you could contribute to OpenStreetMap, please feel free to approach the OSM India Telegram group: https://t.me/OSMIndia

| 135488875 | over 2 years ago | Hello! Thanks for your edits. In future, could you please split your changesets by specific geographic areas? Some relevant reading material: osm.wiki/Changeset#Geographical_size_of_changesets

| 135375411 | over 2 years ago | Hello! Welcome to OSM. I noticed you added a park but tagged it as a peak. I assume this was a typo, and I've corrected the tags. The wiki contains a lot of information for new mappers, which will help you along the way and make sure you can contribute to OSM better. Please read through the following:
