What you are doing here is transferring tags that belong to the "public_transport=plaform" object to the "public_transport=stop_position" one.

Stops are made of 3 objects in OSM:
1) The platform (either a node or a way/area)
2) The stop position (this is a node with the location of the front of the vehicle—the stop line painted on the ground—attached to the road or the tracks)
3) A stop_area relation to bind them together, and collect other related objects, such as the shelter, bin…

PT data goes to (1).
In your edit you started editing nodes of category (2).

I know some networks did it, sometimes entirely duplicating information, but it overly complicates things and creates more work to monitor discrepancies.

The correct tag for cycle streets is: overtaking:motor_vehicle=no

Please stop adding such tags to stop position nodes, you are doing it wrong!

Maybe you might be interested to know that the name of route relations is not *only* visible to editors but to everyone who uses mobile apps such as OsmAnd, that’s precisely why we care, after getting bad comments about how the PT networks rendered in Wallonia.

But I get your point: you didn’t create this weird scheme, it comes from someone else, then.

The tunnel under the railway is here
way/1064125550
and it is precisely tagged as being under construction.

The subway line is another object in OSM, and it is tagged as proposed:*.

OK, good point, thanks for clarifying.

If it’s just about adding the ref number in one dedicated tag without touching geometries or other tags, it is fine.

"ref:STIB_MIVB" is the appropriate key to store this data. I will endeavour to make sure data is properly filled in this area.

Hello,

Some advice here:

(1) If you make changes in Kortrijk and in Brussels, please upload your changes in one city _before_ doing the other.

(2) Never draw buildings from aerial imagery. "AIV Flanders" imagery is for roads (in Flanders).
For buildings, use "AIV Flanders GRB" (but exercice common sense because official government data can be outdated or wrong, that happens).

(3) This road is very strange, it looks like you drew a line but provided no tags for it.
way/1063395923
I guess you want to add tags that say this is a (private) road. The best way is to look at how existing roads nearby are tagged and use the same tags.

(4) I fixed the building in Brussels because you drew it across the railway line, which was obviously impossible.

Hello,

You might want to use other techniques than dumping GTFS data to OSM, especially if you want to use the "ref" tag which already serves other purposes. I’d be happy to look for alternative solutions with you.

We did that in the past but changed our mind because doing so massively corrupted data.

STIB/MIVB’s stop numbers are not valid primary keys for databases, they change too frequently. If a stop is relocated a few meters away, it will get a suffix (3088A becomes 3088B). If a stop is renamed—that is happening frequently, e.g. with the push for more female names—the numbers changes completely.

Could we please discuss this first?

Have a nice day.

Hello,

Only name of the street + housenumbers, please.

Filling postcodes and municipality’s name is not required, it just clutters the database. And municipalities names in the Brussels-Capital Region should be written in the two official languages.

Don’t worry, I fixed this one.

Your changes on Bank of Korea (way/37815133) are incorrect.

* amenity=bank → remove this immediately, please. This tag is only for a bank open to the public. The headquarters of a bank—let alone a central bank—are primarily offices and customers are not expected here
* wikimedia_commons: if you want to use this tag, find a picture of the building. A picture of Korean bank notes "because this is the central bank that prints those banknotes" is not relevant.

Hello,

I could ask the same questions as on this other changeset of yours.
changeset/121296804

I don’t think this device exists at all. I will request a survey from a fellow mapper who lives in this area. But first I would like to read your comments.

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

I came across your changeset. I am bxl-forever, a local mapper from Brussels.
We try to be cautious with objects related to the military on OSM and want to be sure that the information is correct.

Could you please tell us what is the intented purpose of this object on OSM?

Did you personally survey this site? Where does this information come from?

121307235 over 3 years ago

Of course it is. But the point here is about OSM tags, where those two keys cannot be used together.

Hello,

I’m not sure "amenity=research_centre" and "office=government + government=healthcare" fit together, it’s probably one or the other.

121177338 over 3 years ago

Hello,
You removed the amenity tag.
It is no longer showing as a concert hall but rather as an ordinary building now.

Hello,

Do not forget to push the Upload button in StreetComplete often, especially before moving from one city to the other.

Otherwise, you get large boxes like this, with one from your survey in Brussels and one from your survey near Namur.

Hope this helps.

Hello,

Thanks for adding a school.

Writing a more descriptive changeset title rather than "update zone" would be appreciated, so that other mappers can see at a glance what everyong is doing on the map.
Thanks in advance.

Your edit with "Immeuble de Thea" has been reverted because it was flagged as vandalism.

Hello,

Thanks for this.
For websites, HTTPS is preferred over HTTP when available.
Don’t worry, we fixed it, and added some more tags.

Hello,

This is a map, not a business directory.

If the place has moved, please edit the map and move the point to the desired location. If you type an address in Genval, the point will not magically move on its own. :-)
