Changeset When Comment

OK, thanks for seeing this. Feel free to change it then.
As it seems, that castle got its name from… Bethany, but technically it is more accurate to say that this future street is named after that local castle, indeed.

OK, I suppose you just clicked a button and didn’t check the tags.
I cleaned it up.
Have a nice day.

Hello,
Having type=multipolygon on a way (way/38790701/history) is incorrect.
What did you attempt to "fix" here?

112943772 about 4 years ago

Hello,

There was a problem with bus route relations.
I’ve already had this issue when working on streets downloaded from an overpass query, without taking the relations that use them. In that case, the relations are left untouched and still point to the old way id, hence creating a gap.

I fixed all the gaps I could find but I am still confused about this variant of bus route 155 (relation/2923590)
It has multiple loops and some critical issues (takes Arkenvest and Molenborre against traffic, magically reverses on the intersection here: node/250046573). Perhaps someone with local knowledge would like to investigate.

Don’t bother too much with address tags: the POI is located within a building which already has an address, therefore it inherits those tags automatically. People who search for this store would have been given the correct address anyway.

Hello,

Just one thing here: to be parsed properly, OSM tags use British English, not American English. Therefore, it is neighbourhood, not neighborhood.

That being said, neighbourhoods as boundary relations are perhaps not the best choice, and we never use them in Belgium. Tagging an ordinary area as place=neighbourhood would be more appropriate.

112966930 about 4 years ago

Oh, that is interesting and fairly unusual.
I suggest you fill the note tag for this monument to explain that the name is spelt exactly as intended by the artist (+ source).
This will prevent others from making the same mistake.

Hello,
Why do you need junction=yes on such an object?
Have you plans to use it for a particular purpose?
Normally we never add such a tag on an area that is outside the routable network.

Thanks for this information.

The way I understand it is that is does not invalidate this changeset, because the works along Sint-Annalaan are temporary, and buses will resume their normal route, is that right?

112895870 about 4 years ago

Thanks for the source.
Indeed, the misspelling exists in that document, and it probably qualifies as an official source. They even write the name of street as "Rue de Trêves", despite it is wrong.
So be it: let’s keep it unchanged for the moment.

112895870 about 4 years ago

Hello,
Is the French name here "Arlon-Trêves" or "Arlon-Trèves"?
Sometimes the building owners misspell a name and we must keep the misspelling as such in OSM. But I prefer to ask first.

Nice to add place=square, but this changeset broke several routes.

Hello,

Thanks for this first edit. It looks overall fine.

If you want to edit the map in Brussels, perhaps you might be interested to know we have more detailed aerial imagery: in the online editor you can use the Background icon on the right side and select "CIRB/CIBG most recent aerial imagery".

Hello,

I want to inform you we had to revert your changes.

Please do not delete buildings even if you believe "usual users cannot access" them. Building structures inside gardens are part of OSM data and serve many purposes.

Hello,
I am not sure changing highway=footway+bicycle=yes into highway=path will make any difference for bicycle routing.
OSRM, GraphHopper, BRouter and others seemed to be quite happy with the former situation and could calculate bicycle itineraries along this path.
What was the problem exactly?

112292841 about 4 years ago

Hello,

I see you changed the upper building into a roof. Maybe you did this because the iD editor showed a warning about a tram track intersecting a building.

Many suggestions or "fixes" offered by the iD editor are really bad and create more damage: I suggest you ignore those or leave a note, so that someone will investigate.

I found the missing intersection point and fixed the building.

Have a nice day.

Hello,

Is the name really "Récidance Midi"?
way/972601368
Looks like a typo. But maybe it’s how they really named their building.
Just in case you wanted to have a second look.

Have a nice day.

Hello,
Your landuse=residential area is overlapping two existing construction areas.
Do I understand from your change that construction is finished in this zone, i.e. get rid of the construction sites?

111806601 about 4 years ago

Hello,
I get your point for this.

Just a question about this shape: this is not a school but it is still a building, right?

Hello,
I suppose you are reflecting major infrastructure changes; I imagine this is a difficult edit here.
This changeset created some issues with several route relations.
IC-04 and IC-12, and possibly others, appear to be broken, and show up on different—unconnected—tracks with a gap in between. I don’t know what tracks those are expected to take within the station area. Maybe you may want to have a look.
