Hello.

Several mappers have already warned you that you keep adding objects with "social:amenity:for" without providing a top-level tag such as "amenity=social_facility" and "social_facility=*".

Failing to use the proper tags means that your node is just… nothing. It cannot be searched, will not be rendered on maps and will not be available for anyone looking at the nearest nursing home, for instance.

Also, let me raise your attention one more time on one issue. Please do not add "addr:*" tags on nodes you create or modify. Sorry but you are just doing it wrong. Not only you are duplicating existing addresses, but, since it looks like you operate only in French and type the French version of the address given by your clients, invalid data goes to the database. We are a bilingual territory, all street names and addresses in Brussels use a bilingual format (French and Dutch). We have already cleaned up dozens of bad addresses and every week you keep adding more invalid entries.
The best option is: no addr:* tags at all on named objects.

It looks like many people are using your account. Whoever you are, please report this message to your supervisor and ask that everyone in the team uses proper OSM tagging guidelines.

Thanks in advance.

## REVERTED CHANGESET

"noname=yes" had been explicitely added to those objects to warn users to *not* add a name here. This is a rectangular area where people are expected to wait for the bus, this waiting area itself does not have a name. The name is already correctly set on the bus stop itself, which is another object.

I am aware that the Organic Maps is a strange app that has a problem to render names on some objects. You should always check existing data before assuming that we "forgot" something.

Have a nice day.

Hello, and welcome to OSM.

I see that your first 3 edits are aimed at placing "Label Suisse" on the map.

While adding more information to OSM is welcome, please make sure to use correct tags. We have had enough bad experiences with business owners or SEO agencies trying to insert fake data to make their own businesses stand prominently on the map.

In this case, we already have a marketplace here. Label Suisse should *not* be tagged as a marketplace on its own. This creates an unwanted duplicate object. Label Suisse is only one of the merchants, right?

I fixed your edit here, along with other tags which clearly made no sense (like "marché=marché").

Thanks for this.
Next time, please do not repeat existing addresses on those places, that creates unwanted duplicates.
We fixed your edit.

## REVERTED CHANGESET

Please do not add such features if nothing is visible. This is probably for OpenHistoricalMap and not for the main OSM database.

The name of the street is "Ruelle de la Plaine": way/131633876

In this changeset, you modified a valid entry for the node into "addr:street"="Ruelle Plaine", which is incorrect and creates a mismatch.

It looks like you are mechanically importing whatever (unverified) data you have into your customer lists.

We would appreciate if you would train the staff behind this account about how OSM data is structured and how information should be mapped.

Have a nice day.

If a shop/amenity/bank closes down, removing the name… is just what it is: the place is still visible as an active business, but without a name.

The most important action is to remove the tag that describes what it was (in this case, amenity=bank).

But I see that you have changed it now, and your fix is good.

Have a nice day.

Hello, and welcome to OSM.

Along with the category change for Nooit Gedacht, in the same changeset you also removed the name of a bank agency in Leuven: it still shows as a bank but with no name, yet it still refers to AXA’s website.
node/5131443817/history

Was it an intentional change or is this an error?

Thanks for this.

Next time, please make sure to also update the addresses in the street, to avoid leaving a data mismatch with houses not having the same addr:street as the street name.

I fixed it.

Hello,

Thanks for adding more buildings… but can you please avoid tracing them on aerial imagery.

Aerial images are distorted and unsuitable for tall structures like buildings.

Please use "Digitaal Vlaanderen GRB" as a background when you add or modify building shapes.

Thanks.

Hello, and welcome to OSM.

Thanks for adding more data.

We unfortunately had to redo your edit, to fix a few issues:

* Do not mix buildings and shops/restaurants/bars. The recommended way to map is to create a floating node inside the building instead of modifying the building structure itself.

* We expect contributors to type a correct description when uploading data to the public database.
You seem to use a mobile editing software named Vespucci; it looks like Vespucci offered "Automatically generated summary" as a title, which should obviously be modified prior to uploading. Something like: "Surveyed restaurants in this area" would already be an improvement.

Hope this helps for future contributions. Have a nice day!

Hello, BarathéonR.

For your information, on OSM in Belgium, we only need "addr:street" and "addr:housenumber" for an address.

This is because the city name and postcodes are automatically computed from existing areas. They should not be duplicated on every address. You can safely ignore the extra text boxes in the iD online editor.

Hello, Penka457.

Again, could you please avoid fiddling with "junction=roundabout" or "junction=circular" tags until you learn a bit more about how this all works.

Your many edits from this morning are raising some suspicion, it looks like a bunch of mechanical edits based on wild guesses from aerial imagery.

You may be interested to know that "a road that looks like a circle" is not aimed to be tagged *either* as junction=roundabout or junction=circular. This is not binary.

junction=circular?uselang=en
"The rotary or circular junction should not have any road network inside itself."

We have extensive Mapillary coverage of Belgium, and there is a recent picture of the road situation here, which clearly shows that motor traffic is not required to use the junction when going straight ahead.

Sorry but I will have to revert this edit again.

Hello, and welcome to OSM.

Thanks for adding more places to the map, like kindergartens.

I would like to raise your attention on something. When you add an object, please *never* write an address on it.

Addresses are automatically generated. I am aware that this Organic Maps app has fields where people can type addresses. It is not needed and not wanted for Belgium, because it will duplicate existing addresses. In particular here in Brussels, where addresses must be written in the two official languages and created a mismatch with the monolingual versions you created.

I repaired your latest edits.

Have a nice day and happy mapping.

OK, thanks. Even is this is a borderline case, perhaps it’s best to leave it as public, then.

Hello,

Thanks for this. Probably a private sports centre for the school, right? In that case, we should retag it with access=private to avoid being shown to people looking for a sports centre nearby.

Hello,

Can you please tell us the purpose of adding "roundabout=yes" on such roads?

Why do you want this tag?

It is not documented anywhere in the wiki.

Also, did you make sure that this is really a roundabout and not just a circular road?

Thanks in advance.

## REVERTED CHANGESET

Please do not add roundabout tags when this is legally not a roundabout.
