We fixed your edit because creating buildings inside existing buildings is not a correct way to edit OSM.

Bonjour,
Est-ce définitif ou situation provisoire pour travaux ou test ?

148522474 almost 2 years ago

Hello,

(Almost) all addresses in the Brussels-Capital Region are already in the database. StreetComplete is a nice app but it does not know about the situation in every place.
We advise you to turn off the quests about missing addresses when you map in Brussels, via the Settings. Alternatively, if it asks you something like this, please use the option that says that this building does not have its own housenumber. But please never duplicate existing values, it just corrupts the database.

Thanks in advance and happy mapping.

LivoVabo is the name of the company (see https://livo.be/contact: they write LivoVabo nv) while Livo is the public name they use to the public. Anyway, it is strange that you are commenting on this changeset by Rik007 whereas the name was added… 13 years ago by someone else. (Rik007’s minor spelling correction looks okay.)

@VDL549: I saw you reverted the name 3 minutes after writing this message, without letting the other mapper reply to you. If you want to change it, fine, but at least make sure not to just touch the name, otherwise the map just knows about "a building named Livo". Instead, add relevant tags to really improve the map. You did some research and found their website: may I suggest that, instead of commenting on random changesets, you do that: add relevant tags such as office=company and contact:website.

Fine. I will take care of changing the addresses and the links that depend on them.

148332075 almost 2 years ago

Hello,

Thanks for sharing that information.

Just to be sure, have you checked with your own eyes that they have really changed the signs?
I saw the announcement and the intention to do it but it will be nice to confirm. Otherwise, we’ll have a misleading map if we print names here much too earlier.

I suppose addresses will be updated accordingly, as well as associatedStreet relations and wikidata links for the etymologies of names.

I can do those changes if you could please confirm that this is not just a paper change that exists in a municipality document but a real one. Thanks.

Hello,
Yes, it is much better when tracing from GRB. I understand it must be difficult to do it in the online editor, because tracing accurately requires a lot of zooming in and out. I did a few more fixes.

I am worried that many buildings are still missing in this area. There is an ongoing effort to automatically import government data into OSM, which might help to speed things up here.

Hello,

Your changeset title states that you used… Bing imagery but the iD editor reports that "Digitaal Vlaanderen most recent aerial imagery" was open when you were mapping.

However, please note that buildings should *never* be traced on aerial imagery in Belgium. Please use Digitaal Vlaandereren GRB for buildings, otherwise we’ll have to erase everything and redo it because all the buildings you traced are off.

Thanks, have a nice day.

Thanks for updating the amenity type here.

Just one thing. Please do not add addresses to places like restaurants, shops… Addresses are already stored on separate nodes. Duplicate addresses are not wanted on the map. Thanks and happy mapping.

Hello,

Please do not add name to doors.
Doors have no name.

The POI for Visit Brussels is not this node but this one (node/4413803714) and it already has a name. Nothing to do.

148245503 almost 2 years ago

Hello,

Thanks for this "no comment" changeset.

You have just added a node with building=* inside an existing building + some tags were duplicates of existing data.

If you want to contribute to OSM in a way that makes it useful for everyone, we recommend that:
* Relevant information about doors, such as the width of doors or whether there are steps, go to the existing entrance nodes. We mapped thousands of shop doors in great detail, precisely to make data processing easier.
* Relevant tags about the inside of the POI (its name, opening hours and whether there are facilities like wheelchair-accessible toilets) go to the existing POI.

I did all the fixes here and copied relevant information, but your duplicate node has been removed from the map.

Have a nice day.

Hello,

What does "fix majs" mean? It seems you added 2 bus stops for TEC here. Don’t do that: all stops are already there with proper tags. I don’t understand why the northbound stop would be located north of Avenue du Silence/Stiltelaan: TEC uses the same platform as the tram, i.e. south of the intersection. I removed them.

Hello,

Did the situation change recently?

This road is barred and not open to the public, that is why it had "access=no" in OSM to make sur that it will not show up in navigation results, but it used to be open a few times a year, e.g. for deliveries of heavy goods.

148137817 almost 2 years ago

Hello,

In this changeset you changed the address for the whole building into housenumber 51. However, it still shows as housenumber 55 in UrbIS, this is causing a discrepancy with official government data.

I saw they say "51" on their website but it might just be a mistake from their webmaster. Do you confirm you surveyed the building and only saw signs that this building has number 51? That way, I can report it and request a change in UrbIS.

Thanks.

I fixed other edits, especially in Brussels, where some outlines were moved. Maybe not this one in particular—I left a comment on the most recent changeset at the time of writing.
Have a nice day.

148069878 almost 2 years ago

Hello,

Thanks for spotting some obvious mistakes like this. However, please note that in Belgium we trace buildings on *numerical* imagery and never on aerial pictures, which I see you used as backgrounds. So, if you fix things like a node outlyer, please do not move buildings by following aerial pictures, because that means undoing some of the work we have been patiently doing in the last years. (And there is still so much to do…)

There are 3 parts of the Belgium. Depending on the part of the country, the background layer to select to get the correct outline of buildings is:

* Flanders (northern half): "Digitaal Vlaanderen GRB"

* Brussels (middle): "UrbisAdm FR/NL"

* Wallonie (southern half): "SPW(allonie) PICC numerical imagery"

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

Can you please make sure to upload changes as separate changesets, one for each townhall you want to fix?

Please no large changesets like this. MapRoulette is fun but you edited 5 different places in France and your edit unnecessarily covers all of Luxembourg, 2/3 of Belgium and a several large cities in Germany.

Thanks in advance. Have a nice day.

147994991 almost 2 years ago

@Olyon: To say it otherwise: please upload changes about overseas French territories separately from the mainland.

(Not to mention that it is also a good idea to split changesets about "France métropolitaine" into smaller parts, to avoid covering large parts of Belgium, Germany and Switzerland. Your neighbours would be grateful to you for this.)

148012548 almost 2 years ago

Hello,

I get your point but how would you ensure that your edit does not violate language validation rules in this territory? You have been changing names of NATO facilities in several places: was this discussed beforehand?

147904197 almost 2 years ago

Hello,

Bad luck: housenumber 49 is next door and was already on the map.

In such a case, it’s better to answer "there is no housenumber" than providing a value, this will avoid data corruption on the map.

We fixed this one.

Happy mapping.
