| 144720485 | about 2 years ago | Thanks for this. Next time, make sure to write opening hours with the correct syntax, otherwise no app will be able to understand it properly. Don’t worry, we fixed it. |
| 144704516 | about 2 years ago | Hello, leisure=picnic_table is used by some hiking apps to guide people about where to find a suitable place to eat inside the park. I don’t think we should encourage anyone from having a picnic here. What do you think? |
| 144684298 | about 2 years ago | Hello, Did they really install a "swing gate" here? On the latest pictures we took, it is just a static piece of wood, it does not move.
Thanks in advance. |
| 144654109 | about 2 years ago | Hello, Thanks for cleaning some addresses. Please make sure to not erase ref:UrbIS on buildings or addresses (way/224681160/history), they are the primary key to addresses in Brussels and should be kept on the database. Thanks, and have a nice day. |
| 144630131 | about 2 years ago | I’ll fix it. |
| 144630131 | about 2 years ago | Hello, You added indoor=yes to this clock but it looks like this is an outdoor clock on the front of the building, as this 360° picture shows.
What do you think? |
| 144604301 | about 2 years ago | Hello, In this changeset, you added 13 nodes for addresses in Romania… and moved a solar panel in England by a few inches. The latter is probably a mistake, and that explains why your change is shown as a huge box covering half of the continent. You might also be interested to write proper changeset comments as from now; typing random character strings such as: "tt", "ttt", "fhjgjh", "oo", "oikgm", "fdghbd", "ghgy", "fdgsdgtf", "ggg"… look very suspicious. I inspected some of those changes and most of them seem okay, so please describe what you did on the map, e.g. that you added opening hours for a business, that you added more addresses in your hometown, etc.
Happy mapping. |
| 144577606 | about 2 years ago | Hello, On their website, "de Cuynder" is spelt with a lower "de".
Why did you change it into "De"? |
| 144547571 | about 2 years ago | /Hello, Even if the content of your change is fine (i.e. renaming "Wetterse steenweg" into "Wetterse Steenweg" to fix a capitalisation issue), your changeset title is unnecessarily offensive.
"Profanity" or "Vandalism" are very strong accusations towards other mappers. I advise you to think about the way you write your changeset titles. User @Jakka is one of the most active contributors in this country and is probably the one who helps the most to keep OSM data clean. Please use those words for *real* cases of vandalism. Doing a minor capitalisation error can happen to anyone. It is good if you see it and fix it; next time just write "typo fix" or anything like that in the changeset title.
Have a nice day. |
| 144582290 | about 2 years ago | Hello, Would you please be so kind and explain what kind of "profanity" you wanted to clean up here? The changeset description of version #4 is very clear about the situation of this street. This is the border between two municipalities and the addresses on the left side and the right side of the road are not identical. (Also, this is the border between two regions of Belgium, which have different language rules, so this is really a complicated case, and we solve it while using name:left and name:right with a compound name for the main name.)
Your edit does not fix anything, on the contrary you are reintroducing the mistake we worked to solve earlier. We have a very active community of mappers in Belgium and we have built expertise to handle those difficult cases. I don’t know how the way you named your changeset relates to the situation. Looking forward to your reply.

| 144525568 | about 2 years ago | … But most importantly, thanks for having added useful information to the map. 👍️ |
| 144525568 | about 2 years ago | Thanks for this. I saw you requested a review.
Also, do not reuse address nodes, there are meant to store addresses and nothing else; if you want to add a shop or an amenity, simply create a new point next to them. Happy mapping. |
| 144449191 | about 2 years ago | I don’t use that app but had a look at the web version and lots of OSM data are missing there, it does not seem to handle multipolygons correctly. Also, please try to inspect how your app works and make sure to find the option where you can write a proper description when you push changes to the database. Closing changesets before editing in another part of the city is also appreciated, because seeing many giant changesets with "no comment" as a title is a real nuisance for those who are reviewing the map. Have a nice day. |
| 144449191 | about 2 years ago | Hello, I had to revert part of your "no comment edit" about the school, because it is already on the map.
Please make sure your app uses the latest map data, we regularly have this problem about people adding "missing stuff" when they use an app with old data. |
| 144267244 | about 2 years ago | Please use the Dutch name as the primary name for amenities in Flanders. |
| 144266565 | about 2 years ago | Hello,
|
| 144219538 | about 2 years ago | OSM is a map which anyone can edit, and there are several hundreds of thousands of buildings in Belgium alone; you will easily find examples where random people made mistakes, like in the links you provided. I will be happy to help you understand how OSM works. It’s better to write to me directly instead of commenting on my changesets: comments suggest a changeset is faulty, although it isn’t. Comments are permanent and cannot be deleted. |
| 144219538 | about 2 years ago | osm.wiki/File:Marek_S3DB_sumOfMoreElements.jpg If needed, we can map some parts separately but the large outline is what is found in official UrbIS data, which is the reference in the Brussels-Capital Region, and has been attributed a unique ref number, that is why we restored it. |
| 143973922 | about 2 years ago | Hello, We do not add postcodes on every building in Belgium. This is because postcodes are already mapped as areas, e.g. every object within this zone is automatically recognised as having postcode 4537:
Only some countries, mostly outside the EU, need to force postcodes manually, that explains why some editing software (like the "iD" editor you used, this is the one that shows up on the main osm.org website) contains text boxes. You can safely ignore them. Happy mapping. |
