Hello,

Your change is a bit puzzling.
You have just added number 30 on this street… despite there was already one.
way/230708099/history

Also, street names in Brussels are bilingual.

Would you mind explaining what you saw here. Really two houses with the same number next to each other? Which one is the correct one?

Bonjour,
La prochaine fois : ne pas effacer les magasins, svp. Simplement enlever les tags mais conserver l’objet sans détruire.

Tags à écrire en anglais svp, impossible d'afficher "bicycle_parking=arceau"
bicycle_parking=*

I fixed this and changed into bicycle_parking=stands

Hello,
You located the POI inside housenumber 99 and added addr:housenumber 103.
103 is a burger restaurant which is still there.

Can you please provide more details about *where* you saw this pastry shop, so that we can update the map.

Pardon me but your changeset title does NOT match your actions on the map.

What you did:

* You changed the house number on the building from "5;7" (which means 5 AND 7, i.e. only two numbers, not anything in between) into "6B, 7" which is an invalid string and will not be understood by geocoders. If there are multiple numbers, the separator is the semicolon, not comma and space.

* You added postcode 1640 and city=Sint-Genesius-Rode on the building. This is not useful at all in Belgium, we already have zones, no need to repeat such information on every object.

On official government data, this building apparently has a single house number, i.e. 7.

Should there be multiple numbers here, it would be preferable to create single floating nodes inside the building, one for every address, e.g.

* One node with addr:street="Zevenbronnen - Sept Fontaines" and addr:housenumber=6B.
* One node with addr:street="Zevenbronnen - Sept Fontaines" and addr:housenumber=7.
* Remove all addr:* tags from the building outline.

I can do the necessary fixes but before doing this, could you please explain what you had in mind with this story of logical sequences. In particular, where did you see "(5, 6, 6A, 5, 7)" on our data? I didn’t see anything like this.

@Ernesto77: The point here is that adding your house on the map is fine, and in that case it must be a regular polygon with the proper shape of the house and a "building" key on it so that it can be shown as a house.

Your edit was undone because you tagged it incorrectly, as if it was a mountain peak. That is why other mappers reacted.

user_5359 was kind enough to draw the building properly. You can try edit it now, and add more tags, as long as they are factual, e.g. the address. Possibly more tags, such as the height, roof shape, color… that can be nice for 3D views. Ordinary family houses do not have names.

Happy mapping!

Sorry but the container on Rue Abbé Cuypers/Priester Cuypersstraat that was presented to you was explicitely marked as "Oliobox".
Those are the orange boxes for cooking oil.

The glass-recycling container is operated by "Bruxelles-Propreté/Net Brussel" and is drawn separately on the map. This is important to identify each object.

In the quest, you answered that the Oliobox accepts… glass bottles. This is not correct. We had to undo your change.

Please make sure you understand how your app works to avoid adding fancy information. OSM is a database used by multiple people, it is important that information is correct.

Hello
Addresses in Brussels always have FR and NL names, not just FR.
Moreover, this is just a shed at back of housenumber 383, it should not have a number.
Don’t let this easy StreetComplete app fool you, not every quest is useful, you may ignore most questions if you are not sure.

Hello,
Your edit has been reverted.
Baladi has been on the map for almost 10 years now, no need to add a duplicate.

"crossing=unmarked" would already be some improvement for such situations.

Hello,

Thanks for the fix but here is some advice to help you make better contributions in the future.

The road had extra name:* tags with the translations. We use those to build monolingual maps (they are very common here because it’s a multilingual territory and we must accommodate users’ preferences).
If you change the name tag, make sure you also update the name:fr tag with the translation, to keep them in sync.

There are addresses on buildings. It is important to change the address on those to reflect the correct spelling there too.

Don’t worry, I’ve already fixed this street.

Hello,

Who is your source for this, please?

I’ve just had a look at official data and way/34320346 is officially named "Hoefijzerstraat - Rue du Fer à Cheval", and so are the addresses of all the buildings here.
This word means "horseshoe" and is the name of this street because of its shape.
I unfortunately don’t have any Mapillary picture to prove it but just to be sure I had a look at a famous street view website and the street sign confirms official data.

My opinion is that the person who asked for this change is not reliable and that it should not have been changed without checking. Please undo your changeset.

136036915 over 2 years ago

Not my choice, in fact, it is essentially a follow-up of changeset #136006447 where the user expanded the name. The user modified name:fr, name:nl and the French part of the name tag, but failed to change the Dutch part of the name tag. This caused a validation problem.

I agree with you that if the name on street signs is the short version, we should better reflect that on OSM. This means that changeset #136006447 was not reliable.

Hello,

I see you are routinely entering width and length values for aeroways all over the world. I suspose this is not a personal survey but copying from a source.
Would you mind providing a link to the source of the data you used for this? We would like to check if there is some copyright restriction for this data, because OSM has very strict requirements against copying from non-free databases.

Thanks in advance.

Your changeset has been reverted.

The app asked specifically about the "Oliobox" container, that is the orange container for cooking oil.

You entered data that suggests that this Oliobox accepts clothes and shoes, this is nonsense. Clothes and glass-recycling containers are mapped separately.

I suppose all 3 containers are still there and fixed the tags appropriately.

Hello,
You have just created a duplicate node of the node you created a few minutes ealier?
node/11101922146
Both of which are duplicates of an existing landuse area
way/197021579

Are you sure this was really necessary?

139632633 over 2 years ago

Hello,

Can I invite you to add real titles to your changesets on OSM. Adding "Informatie verbetering" on every of them is just wasting other mappers’ time because we have to spend a lot of time every time trying to figure out what you have been wanting to do.

There seems to be a problem with this shape, which you broke in a previous changeset, I don’t see what kind of improvements you have been doing.
way/947788394
You even created a multipolygon to join the two broken parts instead of restoring the area. It looks like a mistake, can you please have a look.

As for Oud Stadhuis, do you think the small part in front of the building, with the stairs, is really part of the building?
way/951489558
Or should that be a separate shape? I think government database treats them (and numbers them) separately. Anyway, if you are applying a new policy or if you have good reasons to do so, this is something worth including in the changeset title.

Have a nice day.
