Fine if you have the opportunity to check.

In the future, make sure to only update OSM with free sources or your own surveys. Deriving information from Google Maps or Google Street View is prohibited.

osm.wiki/Legal_FAQ#Can_I_trace_data_from_Google_Maps/Nokia_Maps/...?
"Other sources must not be used as the base of any data uploaded to OSM - whether maps, aerial imagery, or photographs such as Google Street View. This is because their licences and/or terms of use (contracts) forbid you to do so. Only sources with compatible licenses - such as US Government information released into the public domain - may be used as bases for adding OSM data."

Happy mapping.

Als je "name=Rameistraat" hebt geldt dit voor alle talen.

"name:nl=Rameistraat" toevoegen is niet nodig en niet gewenst.

Groeten.

Hello,

What is the source of the change please?

Version #6 by StefDeGreef was to explicitely prohibit cycling. This user is usually very reliable and did a lot of work setting all the permissions right in this area.

Did something change here recently?

Hello,

Thanks for the micromapping effort here, though I don’t see the added value of creating multiple areas if they have common edges. (Routing will not make a difference and will mostly ignore all the kerbs.)

Just one thing: "highway=pedestrian" MUST have a name.

Small unnamed pedestrian areas or connectors are okay, but in that case add "noname=yes".

Hello and welcome to OSM.

Thanks for this. We had to fix some issues making the building invalid, e.g. building:levels=0 is really strange.

If this building only has one single floor, then the correct value is 1.

Happy mapping, have a nice day.

Hello,

Thanks for updating the shops… BUT you made quite a few mistake here.

Most shops were mapped already and you created duplicates. This goes for Roland, Top Wash, Ladbrokes… All of those were properly mapped, sometimes with accurate details such as the phone number and opening hours.

Also, made-up tags such as "amenity=lavoir" will not work. The database only understands tags in English, not French words. We use shop=laundry here.
Also, we avoid having words such as "Boucherie" or "Boulangerie" in the name of a business because that will unnecessarily repeat what the icon will convey. It’s better to only use the name of the business (e.g. "Roland", "Eken"). And it works in every language too.

I am now cleaning this up so that there is only one node with information for every business.

Also, you deleted this point, which is a valid address point.
node/2334377737/history
Please NEVER do such a thing. If you do this again, other maintainers might assume you are vandalising the map and suspend your account. I will restore the broken address.

Happy mapping.

Hello,

You edited the map in Rennes (France)… but you also made changes to a building in Sonneberg (way/102867649) and one in Bad Harzburg (way/255969788).

The problem is that you uploaded all those changes at once.

Please do not that. It makes your changeset painfully hard to review, because it creates a huge bounding box covering a large part of Western Europe, unnecessarily alerting local mappers in all the places in between.

Next time, please upload your changes separately. (Some documentation here: osm.wiki/Changeset#Geographical_size_of_changesets)

Have a nice day.

Is there really a group of 6 buildings in the middle of sea, off the coast of Greenland?

Hello,

Shouldn’t the wiki-related tags be used on the building instead of the node that describes the pub? "La Pharmacie Anglaise" seems to be both the name of the iconic building and the current pub.

I think NMBS/SNCB uses the American spelling and call it "Travel Center" instead of "Travel Centre". This is what I saw in Brussels-Central Station. I suppose they use the same naming convention here.

Do you mind having a second look? Or if you took some photos, perhaps check again. Thanks.

Hello,

29,034 habitants here! Where does that information come from, please?

The most recent data I see is 35,184 in habitants in January 2021, which is the one automatically referred to with wikidata.

Having wikidata links to most places in Belgium is the reason why we do not fill the "population" tag manually.

OK. In that case I’ll add the missing tag. Thanks.

Hello,

One-way for motor vehicles AND for cyclists, according to what you put to the database.

This is a very rare situation in the Brussels Region. Can you please confirm there is no exception for cyclists here.

Hello,

I see you did another change today.
changeset/135784146

I made some additional fixes to make sure the garden does not overlap the wall. It should be okay now, thanks.

Have a nice day.

Hello,

The correct tag here would be tunnel=building_passage and no level tag. Well, I see you have deleted some of your edits, it makes it harder for us to try to follow what you are doing.

135736902 over 2 years ago

Thanks for this, but be sure not to delete the "building" under the statue. It is still considered as a valid construction, with a proper reference number in UrbIS inventory.

I restored it and tagged it as "building=pedestal".

Happy mapping.
