Your two changes from today have been reverted. This is because, when you tried to undo your first change, you removed an entire address from the map. This is not acceptable.

We restored the normal situation.

Something more: I want to inform you that local mappers are patiently working to create a fully-routable map for pedestrians (among others).

Some of us have started reverting some of your changes, like this one where you extended a crossing… to a landuse area, creating impossible routing.

This is a kerb on the edge of the sidewalk, I presume that crossing=uncontrolled and rossing:markings=zebra shouldn’t be added on such nodes.

One more thing: "addr:housename" should almost never be used in Belgium, this is a UK-centric tag because in the UK we often have houses that only have a name and no address. Combining "addr:housename" and "name" on a building with the same information makes no sense.

I think there are some issues here with this changeset.

First, if a building have a name, it is better to keep the address on a node, that way we can guarantee proper rendering of both the name and the house number. If you merge them, only the name will be rendered on most maps.

Most importantly: it looks like possible data corruption here. You changed some addresses like 19A, 19B, 19C…, into 19, 19, 19 with units A, B, C…

I suspect this is wrong because by doing so you are creating duplicate entries for house numbers. I suspect you inadverently typed the letter in the small text box of iD… but this is only for post boxes appended to addresses (or flat numbers). 19C should stay 19C in the house number field.

Thanks for this and welcome. I had heard about the name change when it was proposed a few months ago but did not know that the change had really occurred now. We’ll take your word for granted that you checked that the new street signs are there.

We fixed the Wikidata article, but also all the relations and addresses that had De Bruyn in the name. Don’t worry, everything has been updated now.

@VDL549: Even though the official GRB map calls it Lindeveldstraat, if you look at this Mapillary picture you can see a sign on one of the houses, and by zooming in you can read Meierij on it.

I won’t comment on every mistake here but some advise here. Please read the documentation about multipolygons. A multipolygon is a relation to create complicated shapes, by assembling several shapes together.

Hello,

"historic=city_gate" is a very specific tag for OSM, and is usually found on former city walls.

As far as I can see, there is no such situation here. Can you please confirm this is something you really saw while going there? Did you take pictures or know about documents confirming there is a "city gate" in this neighbourhood? Aerial imagery suggests there might be some kind of "gate" but probably a more common type. Pictures could be of help.

I get your point, but now that cashless shops are becoming increasingly common, relying on a default value ("If this tag is missing, I should expect that I can pay with cash there") is probably not as reliable as it was before.

Most shops refuse the largest bank notes anyway, I don’t think that this should be a reason to hide that they accept the most common cash denominations. Perhaps that adding tags such as "payment:coins=0.05€;0.10€;0.20€;0.50€;1€;2€" + "payment:notes=5€;10€;20€;50€" would make everyone happy here.

Nice edit, but the way you fill note tags looks a bit strange. As long as the note key is set, you do not have to repeat the "note=" part inside the value, because it shows up like this:

AFAIK, De Lijn does not operate bicycle stands in other Belgian regions.

Those stands are visible here, they are not the usual model De Lijn uses.
