| 154642775 | over 1 year ago | This changeset creates duplicates of existing objects. You added this fuel station twice, once as a node and once as an area
Also, there was a fuel station here (node/255657485) and this changeset added a copy of all tags—creating a duplicate—here: way/272885848 With respect, this will not make OpenStreetMap better. |
| 154647740 | over 1 year ago | Hello, Even if you know the area, I am not sure you mapped it correctly. ;-) Allow me to make a few comments here, I hope they will be useful. Here is just one example, for this footway:
1. Names are (official) names only and should not be added for mere descriptions → "House 3 and 5 garden access" is a description. 2. "access=private" is enough to restrict access. Once this tag is set, it automatically applies to all modes of transport → please do not add "bicycle=private", "horse=private". Also, since this is a footway, this is de facto a way solely for pedestrians, therefore "motor_vehicle=no" was already implied. It is not useful to repeat default values on every object, as that just makes the situation more confused for other people. 3. The way you mapped this footway makes it look like a tunnel *under* the house. I have no local knowledge about this area but it looks very much like a mistake. A very common situation with beginners is to click on the tunnel or layer options in the online editor to get rid of validator warnings alerting you about a footway crossing a house. Do I understand that this footway goes *across* the building instead of being dug *under* it, right? Or maybe that houses 3 and 5 do not touch and that the footway is between them? I will be happy to fix it for you because it is complicated to explain briefly how to do it. Happy mapping. |
| 154605109 | over 1 year ago | Hello, Thanks for the effort of adding some data. If you want to add places, please:
Thanks in advance. |
| 154568729 | over 1 year ago | Hello and welcome to OSM. Adding new places to the map is fine BUT people do not steal existing address points to change them into amenities or anything else. Just create a new point inside the building and that would be fine. (Addresses should not be typed on places either, OpenStreetMap is a geographical database, it automatically assigns places to the nearest address point.) We fixed it here:

| 154538372 | over 1 year ago | Hello, Thanks for this. Here is a hint for StreetComplete: Make sure to upload pending changes *before* you travel to a distant place. It looks like you had some changes still waiting to be uploaded… which have therefore been sent along with the ones you made tonight, creating this giant box spanning across the entire country, which is an annoyance for anyone reviewing changes somewhere. :-( Happy mapping! |
| 154462903 | over 1 year ago | Hello, Please be so kind as to provide a source when you change data on OSM. Other people are reviewing changes, especially when a new account changes 2,532 objects at once over several thousands kilometers. Your changes seem fairly suspicious, and so is your reluctance to writing true changeset comments.
Thanks in advance. |

Hello, Adding craft=handicraft is okay.
Addresses are computed by inheritance or proximity, e.g. the container building here is already defined as nbr 160 Van Overbeke

| 154439325 | over 1 year ago | Please do not erase POI nodes from the database. If a store has closed, retag it as a vacant store instead.

| 151257188 | over 1 year ago | Hello, The reversing track is not visible on Norway Orthophoto. Can you please explain what source of information you used to determine it should be moved? I am not saying it is wrong, I am merely stating that work on OSM must always be properly sourced. |
| 154343011 | over 1 year ago | Hello and welcome to OSM. Please observe that all addresses in Brussels (and in most of Belgium) are already mapped. Therefore, when you add a business, please do not add address tags on it, as that would cause unwanted duplicates in the database. Just add the name and shop type normally, and the address will always be computed automatically based on its location. I will fix this one. Happy mapping. |
| 154347887 | over 1 year ago | Hello and welcome to OSM. Thanks for adding a restaurant but I think there might be an issue with your edit. There was already a restaurant in this building, as you can see here:
I presume that Machu Picchu *replaces* the former restaurant. In that case, instead of adding a second restaurant next to an existing one (which will tell the map "there is a second restaurant in the same building") one should edit the tags of the existing node to update the name, cuisine type, etc. Can you please confirm that you only saw *one* restaurant in this building? I will take care of fixing the map. Thanks. |
