in case you did not know it: we have wikidata tags in our data, which use such a unique ID like you propose, if I read correctly. See also osm.wiki/Wikidata

Danke, interessant zu lesen … dass es noch mehr solcher Idioten wie mich gibt … ;-) Bei ganzen Baugebieten (statt nur einzelne Neubauten) ziehe ich aber dann doch vor, auf Luftbilder zu warten.

Alternativ zu GPS lassen sich vor allem bei rechtwinklig und zur Straße parallelen Gebäuden “einfach” per Schrittanzahlmessung (samt Umrechnung in Meter) auch recht gute Ergebnisse erzielen (kann man natürlich auch mit GPS kombinieren). Sinnvoll ist natürlich ein möglichst naher, Referenzpunkt, sofern man einfach von einer vorab bekannten, durchschnittlichen Schrittlänge ausgehen möchte, statt jene auch noch für jenen Einsatz anhand zweier Referenzpunkte zu berechnen.

@rovastar: right, but it was asked for the “rendering toolchain”. Not the rendering style. Still, it is possible that (also) the style was meant.

Seems osm.wiki/Category:User_group , osm.wiki/India/Events , osm.wiki/Template:Calendar there is no user group India or Bangalore and no events.

Look at osm.wiki/Nearby_users (currently, in particular the alternative tools) to find people active around you. Then you can mail them.
