I had a quick look at some of your edits. A tip: I think you chose to use too much nodes to trace this church building. That results in wiggly walls which are probably straight in reality. Corners are usually (not always…) rectangular (Potlatch offers a tool to make corners rect. - in the lower right screen). However, that would be just an improvement (from my POV).

As always: also note that the bing aerial imagery is frequently misaligned. That could explain the off-ness of the roads in the north (usually those roads are not moved a tiny distance during road rebuild). Of course it also could be the other way round and the old aerial imagery which was used to trace was misaligned. Look for source tags and the date of creation.

Much wind (“!!!”) about (nearly) nothing. You probably are right - but there are much much muuuuuch bigger license violations.

I forgot a bit: Sometimes (if potlatch does not recognize the object’s type) you may need to select ‘Advanced’ on the left panel (bottom) to see the tags. Also you need to select that ‘Advanced’ mode if you want to see all tags of an object (Potlatch may not recognize all).

I had a quick look at your recent edits - just one minor hint: You have created a node tagged as swimming pool. That one is redundant to the swimming pool which is already existent as area (same tags). Therefore you should delete the new node (since it would e.g. disturb the count of swimming pools in this city and could lead to duplicate display). I guess you have added the new node because Potlatch did not show an icon for the swimming pool - that may happen, in fact it happens often, we only look at the data but not at the appearance in our few visualizations here. So if the swimming pool area it does not show up in Potlatch as icon, do not be confused. :-)

Relativ wichtig finde ich, zu sagen woher du die Information hast (dass es das Haus 44 nicht gibt). Manche Leute gucken nur die Luftbilder an - du warst aber wirklich dort. Ich würde daher im Kommentar ruhig “in der Realität” erwähnen. Für nächstes Mal vielleicht - wenn du magst.

Falls du es noch nicht gesehen hast: Links im Menü hier auf dieser Seite gibt es übrigens “Hilfezentrale”. Wenn du konkrete Fragen hast, kannst du sie (auch) dort stellen. Meist gibt’s da mehr und schnellere Antworten.

Ach, entschuldige - ich verstand deine Frage etwas falsch. Es gibt wohl kein Haus auf der Karte mit 44. 42 und 46 hast du ja schon hinzugefügt. Super!

Es kommt in der Realtität durchaus vor, dass manche Hausnummern fehlen. Anhand des uns zur Verfügung stehenden bing-Luftbildes (z.B. in potlatch) scheint es wirklich, als gäbe es zwischen 42 und 46 kein Haus. Aber schau ruhig mal in echt nach - du kannst deine Erkenntnis auch für andere Mapper in der Karte vermerken - erstelle z.B. einfach zwischen den Häusern einen Knoten und setze das Tag “note=Es gibt in der Realität kein Haus Nummer 44.”

Donnenberger Straße in Velbert Neviges ist eingezeichnet - Hausnummern sind allerdings in der Tat dort fast noch nicht erfasst (auch mit nicht in von der Standardkartenansicht nicht erkannten Tags). Aliens sind nicht am Werk. Wenn du dort wohnst, könntest du dort herumgehen und die Hausnummern aufschreiben und dann hier hinzufügen.

Was du mit “alten Map” meinst, verstehe ich nicht.

“wenn jemand auf Basis einer ausgerichteten Map arbeitet” - ich würde das eigentlich eher als Standard ansehen, vermerke es dennoch meist im Changesetkommentar (“ausgerichtes bing”, o.ä.).

Und woher willst du wissen, ob die alten Objekte nicht mit korrekt ausgerichtetem Bing-Luftbild gezeichnet wurden? Zumindest hört sich deine Beschreibung so an, als wolltest du pauschal einfach alle Gebäude verschieben.

Dass die Luftbilder standardmäßig oft nicht richtig ausgerichtet sind (bzw es besser möglich ist), ist ja recht bekannt.

Zu Notizbuch: osm.wiki/DE:Mapping_techniques#Informationen_.C3.BCber_die_erfassten_Objekte_sammeln vielleicht hilft dir das? Ich persönlich erstelle mir POIs mit einem GPS-Programm auf dem Smartphone und tippe da alle nötigen Infos in den zugehörigen Beschreibungstext. Wenn ich es genau haben will, dann zeichne ich den Punkt/Weg auch per Garmin-GPS auf (meist dann mit Mittlung im Falle von Punkten).

Hi roald-linus, dank dir für deinen Kommentar und deine Arbeit. Das ist gut zu wissen! :-) Eigentlich müsste die OSM-Serversoftware so schlauer werden und für Bereichs-Historien nicht blind nach den maximalen Ausmaßen gehen, sondern Changesets nur dann auflisten, wenn sie wirklich in dem angefragten Bereich etwas geändert haben. Die riesigen Bereiche zusammen mit häufigen Änderungen machen das generelle Problem nur (mit Abstand vor anderen Bots) deutlich.

The nodes are in the DB somehow, otherwise your way= link wouldn’t be able to draw the blue line in the correct round shape. Also you see them in an editor. Example node of this way.

I could not find out why the default renderer misses some nodes of this way. Compare with other renderers (which may use older data).
