Hi piotr’ek, welcome to OSM! If you have questions, don’t hesitate to ask anybody. :-)

Getting started...

Hi Olafur, welcome to OSM! :-) Thanks for your help - there is much to do.

Links for the tools which were mentioned by dcp:

Also easily found via the search box in the wiki.

Potlatch is not that bad - in fact I am not quite sure if I would not recommend it to new users.

At your neighborhood: I am wondering a bit that this quite well mapped area (e.g. even street relations) had no house numbers before.

If you have questions, feel free to ask!

Your diary entry is read. ;-)

I wish you a (continued) happy mapping!

My 10 most useful OSM links

Thanks for sharing and your comments. I like such personal taste lists (such lists are not really possible in the (main) wiki or would require a voting process or something).

You may like to have a look at my commented list about useful tools (quality review, errors, latest changes) (in German). Essentially it adds http://www.mapdust.com/ (error reports - mainly from car navigation app users) and RSS feed tools (to be informed about new possible errors and edits).

JOSM plugins

Such lists are a thing which is not really possible in the wiki. Thank you - I will have a closer look at these plugins soon.

The reverter plugin is really helpful - but one should know what one is doing! ;-) That is the only one which I have installed until now.

@RM87: I was not totally sure. But, yes, smells like spam.

For questions https://help.openstreetmap.org/ is the better place. Many questions are already answered - search the site for older similar questions (and answers). You can also ask in Italian - but an answer may take long.

Ciao Mauro! Sorry, I cannot speak Italian, but I guess this may help you.

Okay, hi, welcome! What do you mean by this entry?

Stuck with a dinosaur.

Hmm, okay, sorry for you.

One more idea: You could also buy a gps data logger/gps tracker - those are available below 100€, some feature button(s) to create waypoints (to make a note of a specific location). However due to the fact that these devices have no display you cannot see the track and you cannot type waypoint descriptions. Useful if you just want to trace some paths (e.g. in a forest), but devices with more functions and a display are much more helpful. However, be careful - very old GPS devices have no easy way (USB) to connect with a computer (a serial connection if at all).
