| 143339252 | over 1 year ago | Hi there, I noticed you added a place of worship called “Beach full of plastic :(”. Is there really a place of worship at this location? If so, is this really its name? (Seems unlikely!) |
| 146018722 | over 1 year ago | Hi there! I’ve noticed that some of the “highway=ford” nodes in this changeset are actually bridges in reality. I’ve corrected a few of them, but some of the remaining ones may still be wrong (I wasn’t able to survey all of them). |
| 149500614 | over 1 year ago | Thanks for catching that! I typed the raw tag value with my iPhone keyboard, so my fault rather than GoMap’s. I’ll be more careful with this sort of thing going forward 👍 |
| 144541598 | almost 2 years ago | Ah okay, sorry it was probably a different changeset then. Thanks for fixing it regardless! :) I've made a small followup edit as well to make the ends of the platform more consistent with each other. Looks a little messy visually, but I think the connections+levels+layers are all correct 🤞 |
| 136358615 | almost 2 years ago | Hi there, thanks for mapping all this! I had a question about this flagpole though:
I haven’t come across “not:flag:wikidata” before and aren’t sure what it means. Is it a typo, or is it literally supposed to mean “this isn’t a French flag”? Thanks! |
| 144541598 | almost 2 years ago | Hello, I’m not 100% sure but I think this changeset may have accidentally connected an underground footway with a surface-level sidewalk. In particular, I’m pretty sure the eastern end of these escalators…
…should connect to the underground platform, rather than the sidewalk. In OSMCha it looks like this might have been mapped correctly before this changeset. |
| 146441451 | almost 2 years ago | This is awesome, thanks for mapping all these plaques in so much detail! |
| 143761029 | almost 2 years ago | Here’s where I’ve made these changes:
|
| 143761029 | almost 2 years ago | Hi there! Thanks for your contributions. It’s a bit unclear to me what these tourist attractions in Manly represent though - were they perhaps added by accident? It looks like one of them might represent a cafe - I’ll update it with the “amenity=cafe” tag to make this clearer. The others seem like they might be accidentally-added duplicates? I’ll remove them for now, but please feel free to re-add them if I’ve misunderstood :) |
| 135416400 | almost 2 years ago | Hi there! Just letting you know I’ve switched the area around Mosley Square & Jetty Road from commercial to retail landuse. My impression of the area is that it’s largely occupied by shops, cafes, restaurants, bars, etc? If so, the Wiki seems to suggest retail is the better fit. Perhaps I’ve misunderstood something though - let me know if so! 🙂 |
| 119899548 | almost 2 years ago | Thanks! Perhaps I was a bit hasty in removing it - I only looked from the river side, but it could well be in better condition up nearer the street. |
| 119899548 | almost 2 years ago | Update: I visited it from the Byles Creek Track side, and could see no sign of the short connecting path. I suspect it has fallen into disuse and been reclaimed by nature. I’ve gone ahead and removed it in the following changeset:
Feel free to re-add it if you think I’ve missed something (perhaps it still exists but is heavily overgrown?). I did also find a nearby path that connects Marlon Road to the river track, which I’ve added here:
|
| 119899548 | almost 2 years ago | Hi there! Just wanted to check if the short connecting path from Cheltenham Road to the Byles Creek Track is publicly accessible? Asking because I can’t see any obvious sign of it on street-view imagery, and I wouldn’t want to trespass :) (If it is private, we could add access=private to indicate this). |
| 144773386 | about 2 years ago | Hi Chris, my understanding is that such mechanisms already exist. For example, tagging a trail with “access=no” will cause AllTrails to display it in red with a “NO ACCESS” warning. There are also lifecycle prefixes such as “abandoned”, which I believe will stop most applications from rendering the trails entirely. I’d suggest having an another read through the Wiki pages linked above, which explain these techniques :) |
| 144607157 | about 2 years ago | Hello, thanks for spotting that! I’ve just fixed it in:
(Went with grass, as I wasn’t sure there were enough trees to justify a wood area 🙂) |
| 120862486 | about 2 years ago | …at least, no signage in the immediate vicinity of the trail. Maybe there’s signage elsewhere in the park that says not to use it? 🤔 |
| 120862486 | about 2 years ago | Hello! 🙂 Just wondering why this trail was set to “no access”? It looks perfectly usable for foot traffic to me, and there’s no signage on the ground discouraging its use. |
| 140584298 | about 2 years ago | Opened an issue here:
Feel free to add additional context there if I've missed anything 👍 |
| 140584298 | about 2 years ago | Interesting, seems to be a problem with Organic Maps (the app I used for these edits). I just performed a test by adding a website to a cafe, and sure enough Organic Maps added a postcode in the same changeset:
I’ll raise a bug for it on their GitHub project - agreed this behaviour doesn’t make much sense. |
| 137474839 | about 2 years ago | Yep looks like you got them all, thanks! |
