| 166995267 | 6 months ago | Yes I think so (going from memory - I didn't take a photo). To be honest I copied the surface tag from a nearby boardwalk segment that looked like the same material. Seems that one originated from the below changeset (which switched it over from "plastic"):

| 166999977 | 7 months ago | Makes sense to me, thanks for updating it 👍 |
| 161625987 | 7 months ago | No worries, I’ll update it then. Thanks for the quick reply! 🙂 |
| 161625987 | 7 months ago | Hello, are we sure access=no is correct here? It looks like there’s a system where you can pay an access fee to drive on Boat Harbour Beach. I think that means the previous access=private value was correct, or perhaps access=permit. |
| 162768993 | 7 months ago | Hi Don, is this location actually a holiday rental called “home”? It sounds rather unlikely. I see you’re using Maps.me - perhaps you were intending this to be a private bookmark rather than an addition to the public map? Thanks |
| 143929903 | 8 months ago | Hi kmpoppe, My understanding is that the name was made official some time within the last 12-24 months. The City of Paramatta installed several large “Welcome to Little India” signs in the area, along with a plaque bearing the name. The signage is so prominent that some locals consider it an eyesore, and have petitioned for its removal:
I feel like the common usage and official signage qualifies it for "name" rather than "loc_name", but clearly someone has a different opinion. Happy for you to make the final call on it 🙂 Cheers, James |

| 151700608 | over 1 year ago | Hi there! Just wanted to check how confident we are about access to the Showgrounds being restricted outside of paid events. I suspect it’s not quite that strict, as there’s a free & unticketed “farmer’s market” hosted there most weekends:
I’m less sure what the rules are when there aren’t *any* events on (ticketed or otherwise). In practice the gates usually seem to be open, and it’s not uncommon to see people walking through, exercising their dogs on the arena, etc. I’ve also not noticed any signage that indicates access is restricted, though it’s quite possible I’ve missed some. Basically, I guess I’m wondering if “permissive” access would be more accurate here? Thanks! |
| 139273216 | over 1 year ago | Whoops, I hadn’t realised that. Thanks for fixing! |
| 154342082 | over 1 year ago | I’ve gone ahead and made this change. Let me know if I’ve missed something though. Thanks! |
| 154340574 | over 1 year ago | I’ve gone ahead and switched it back - please let me know if I’ve misunderstood something though. Happy to continue the discussion! :) |
| 154342082 | over 1 year ago | Hi there, are we sure the Museum of Contemporary Art should be tagged as an art shop? While there is a small gift shop within it, I’m not sure it’s appropriate for the entire gallery. The gift shop could perhaps be added as a separate shop node? Thanks! |
| 154340574 | over 1 year ago | Hi there, it looks like this changeset might have undone a recent name update for this building. The new name does indeed seem to be “Naala Nura”:
There is a separate area in OpemStreetMap called “Art Gallery of New South Wales” that encompasses both buildings and represents the gallery as a whole:
Would you agree the name for this specific building should be changed back to what it was before? Thanks! |
| 149774799 | over 1 year ago | Hi there, are you sure this is a sidewalk/pavement? way/842923321/history#map=18/-33.87277/151.17301&layers=N Unless I’m misunderstanding it, the “note” tag indicates that it’s not a sidewalk. Cheers |
| 149703823 | over 1 year ago | 👋 Hi there! It looks like this changeset might have removed “footway=sidewalk” from some footways that should actually have it. This one for example:
Wondering what the reason for removal was? Maybe I’m missing something. Thanks! 🙂 |
| 145313365 | over 1 year ago | Hi there, what is this attraction supposed to be? It’d be great if you could set “name” field when adding these, as otherwise it’s very unclear what they are :) |
| 153912786 | over 1 year ago | *empty field. |
| 152652279 | over 1 year ago | To elaborate: when they’re not operating, you can walk over them unimpeded (the surface is flat and dries out relatively quickly). When they are operating, you often see kids running around playing in them. Hence why “splash pad” feels like a better fit than “fountain” to me. |
| 149503863 | over 1 year ago | Hello, can I ask what the “Maint” attraction you added here is? It’s a bit unclear at the moment. |
