I have restored the woods tagging, and noticed that you have already removed the name.

Do you know the coordinates of the actual Dillon's Farm area? There is the farmyard here (way/138284774), but I'm not sure if it's the same thing... I can help you add it if you like.

As an aside, my wife is actually a descendant of the Dillon family. It's a small world :)

Hi lucanos

I think you might have changed the wrong thing here - you've set almost the entirety of Brisbane Water National Park as well as the bushland up to Central Mangrove as Dillon's Farm, and also as grassland - both of which are not correct.

Would you like some help fixing things up?

Hi again Mikey,
This is another odd one - a triangle with the name=1 Haunted Jailhouse and you've added a Wikipedia tag for a simulated ride.
Not sure what this is supposed to be?

100938124 almost 5 years ago

Forgot to add the link, it's here: leisure=park

100938124 almost 5 years ago

Hi Mickey,

You've added a very strange park here.

The following is the osm wiki page for parks:

I'm not sure how this location would meet the relevant definitions?

Additionally, you've added another tag Scary Ghosts=Haunted Ghosts to a node with the name "Ghosts". I'm not sure this would be considered verifiable or mappable.

Hi Kevev99,

It appears that Tanner Park is already on the map as an area, here: way/468561059

OSM normally operates on the idea of "One feature, one OSM element", so there's no need to duplicate a park as an area and a node at the same time.

osm.wiki/One_feature,_one_OSM_element#:~:text=One%20feature%2C%20one%20OSM%20element%20is%20a%20good%20practice%20principle,with%20only%20one%20OSM%20element.

Hi superbeyone,

Welcome to OSM

You've added an oddly shaped and very large building with a railway connected to its corner.

I'm not quite sure what you're trying to represent here?

Hi pokemon12922,

This park covered several houses, private yards and roads, please do not add fictional features to OSM.

If you'd like some help adding real parks, please feel free to reach out :)

Welcome to OSM!

Unfortunately, Niantic hasn't updated anything to do with their usage of OSM in Pokemon GO for about 2 years now.

I'm sure you understand that we can't leave fictional parks on the map, as many other services also use OSM, including some emergency services.

Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions!

Hi Ben1511,
Welcome to OSM!
I'm curious as to what are you trying to do here?
You've got two parks intersecting each other, as well as covering a fire department and passing through roads.
Would you like some help?

Hi AmateurPlanner!

It looks like this park is already on the map as an area, here: way/897718999

Were you trying to add something specific to the park?

Thank you!

Hi 4howards,

You have a lot of the built-up areas around this golf course marked as water hazards: way/901847548

That doesn't seem very correct?

98532811 almost 5 years ago

Hi GREGMAP1,
You added this: way/902796641 as a park, but it appears to be a building. Possible slip of the finger on that one?

98174839 almost 5 years ago

Hiya Petomas,

I know it sounds a bit counter-intuitive due to the name (sno-park) but I'm not sure if leisure=park imparts the right meaning here.

I might suggest something like
landuse=winter_sports instead?
(landuse=winter_sports)

If there's also many kilometers of this area, it's probably best to include the entire area than just using the parking lot as a proxy.

A lot of this comes down to verifiability (osm.wiki/Good_practice), especially outside of the snow season.

It might be a good idea to reach out to local mappers to discuss, the OSM mailing lists are a good place to start: https://lists.openstreetmap.org but there may also be other local services you can use to find follow local mappers :)

Hi SuperDupes,
Are you sure you've got this leisure=park area in the right location?
way/899930801
It appears to be mostly covered in parking lots and buildings.

Hiya GREGMAP1,

Just wanted to ask about those leisure=park nodes that you created in this changeset with name=1, name=2 and name=3 ... all on houses.

Could they possibly be the result of an error?

Hi jnighan,

I have restored amenity=university tagging to this campus.

Amenity=school implies: "a place where pupils, normally between the ages of about 6 and 18 are taught under the supervision of teachers. This includes primary and secondary schools."
amenity=school

Amenity=college may be more relevant, but it appears that this particular institution offers several varieties of bachelor of arts degrees, so amenity=school is definitely not the right tag in this case.

Hi Cel1ne and welcome to OSM.
I checked out your edits and they seem a little strange.
A lot of the grass and park areas you added don't really seem to relate to what is on the ground - they intersected roads, buildings and other features, with their boundaries seeming somewhat random.
Please feel free to reach out if you need some help mapping things in this location.

Hi Maysara1991,

I note that you've re-added a similar, but also differently shaped park area over almost the entirety of McMaster University. The last time (about 2 years ago) that you made a similar change, it was removed.

There are several park or park-like areas already mapped on the campus such as the JHE Field and Alumni Oasis Garden.

The campus may have some other garden areas, but marking the entire location as a park which would mean that it is an open green space dedicated to recreation is not correct, as much of the campus consists of large buildings with rather heavy density.

If you are trying to work out how to add something specific, please feel free to reach out, I'm happy to help.
